I went to the website to log on The entry process drop me off at 4 other sites none of which allowed me to logon Forty-five minutes later customer service enabled me to logon Subsequently I learned my assigned doctor retired LAST YEAR Better The entire medical group no longer accepts WellCare for two years now In summary the website contains extremely outdated and useless information

Zero Stars The parent company for Wellcare is a conglomerate for-profit corporation with a system in place where everyone who is enrolled runs in circles to complete unreasonable tasks such as a 72-hour turnaround time for your doctor to review and return a prior authorization If you don t meet that then you get timed out and have to start the whole process all over again You sit on hold for two hours every time you call only to find out that coverage for BASELINE RX is denied I have been in touch with Wellcare for four months to get ONE prior authorization through their pipeline before I run out of medicine I am a healthy person I don t know what it would be like for people who have multiple medications This is set up for their parent company to report profits to shareholders and has nothing to do with healthcare They have a Help Desk which is like something out of George Orwell s 1984 The help desk puts you on hold and runs you in circles until you give up and pay out of pocket That is Wellcare s bottom-line goal I didn t know about Trust Pilot when I signed up for this horrendous company but now reading the reviews I see I am not alone They have no contact help number or email for the company and neither to their supervisors so no accountability No way to get questions answered beyond the Help Desk which is a dead end This should be illegal

Terrible customer support
Had a prescription denied as not covered by Wellcare Called their customer support Spoke with a person offshore who barely could communicate in English She looked up an alternative and what she found was not even remotely an alternative option My recommendation is to avoid Wellcare

BIG LIE
Even one star is too much It is a big lie Long processes Initial approval and then services get denied I have patients waiting for a simple CT scan for months Records are being sent and they keep denying and denying Literally last denial came through because records were not legible I work in an underserved area Wellcare got so many business with making numerous promises to the patients It is a human tragedy Very sad Very disgraceful

I have been using Symbicort inhaler for years - asthma allergy congestion Suddenly Wellcare refused to refill My doctor submitted the information for my need but they still refused Because I need it I asked how much for me to purchase it - something like 500 Give or take There are alternatives but they are not as effective and their cost for me would be 60 - 100 The manufacturer and or others appear to be charging an unfair amount I m still seeking a solution

They re Going To Burn In Hell
So I became eligible for Medicare and this company was charging less than 4 a month and I don t take any prescription drugs so I figured for roughly 50 bucks a year it was good back up Well a few months later open enrollment starts which is like open season on older people when it comes to predatory health and insurance companies and these spunk donkeys send me a letter saying they re jacking me up to just under FORTY dollars a month So I go to cancel them You can go all over their website no place to cancel your coverage So I called and the guy was nice as pie and the minute he heard I was calling to cancel he said he had to transfer me and I got some poor soul in Sri Lanka or India and I immediately became uncomfortable because I knew she was under the thumb of someone who was going to jerk me around And for 45 minutes she did I knew someone was listening in and they got an earful more than once They probably thought I was someone who they could manipulate then kept trying to get me to hang up After 45 minutes of being put on hold and then having her come back reading a script that had nothing to do with the problem at hand once I made sure the girl understood I was not yelling at her I did that several times it makes a difference to people especially in this sick day and age I let her pig boss have it And then I called Medicare When I chatted with Medicare about this last week don t use chat every company seems to put their biggest dopes on chat I was told Medicare couldn t help me Today they could I went from one rep to another and it s all done and dusted There s a thousand provisos about it but I don t care I ve learned to deal with problems when they arise not in anticipation So I warn you away from this company don t go near them

Offshore customer service is difficult to work with and obtain answers to coverage questions and billing Be prepared to spend one to three hours on the phone and accomplish nothing Inconsistant drug cost coverages Have had multiple similar Wellcare customer service experiences
