Buyer Beware of White Dove Cardiff
All it s stresses and anxieties I have been working as a Key Worker through this pandemic for our Local Government Authority with a shielding vulnerable partner Thought we had got there but have found myself stressed again and with sleepless nights What kept me going is looking forward to treating myself when I could to a new car Found my ideal car condition report advised of 1 single stone chip and 2 damaged Front Alloy Wheels Alloys were repaired for me Delighted except for it being over 600 miles away Anyways bought and paid online for the car and made a Covid Click Collect Appointment Drove all though the night and collected the car in the rain with the car soaking wet Drove back home Once home it was apparent that all 4 corners of the car have been accident damaged with very poor quality repairs including both Front Wings and Bonnet Some damage hasn t even been repaired just painted over The Front wheels that were repaired are not even the same colour as the rears and are both leaking air I have been called a Liar by Mr Colin Snook that the car was wet on collection even though I have the video evidence I suspect that the car was not given a Sales Check Coolant Level on minimum Screenwash empty both Key Batteries flat Not what I expect from a car with 15k miles on it and an Approved Used Car Approved by who Do not get me started on Mr Snook s creative accounting and Vat Writebacks in my naivety I had no idea what was happening but has the potential to cost me 100 s Would not have been a problem if the car was as promised I have lost all faith in the Seat Approved Used Car Scheme This is my 4th Seat in the last 7 years Update on my last review White Dove stated that we agreed a price reduction on my visit Funny that I paid 2 or 3 days before I visited and my Emails show me informing of the damage 1 or 2 days after Not surprisingly I was never offered a price reduction Maybe trying to make themselves look better and more honest than they actually are Really does show prove the liars that White Dove are 1 OSF Bumper Smart Repair poor quality 2 Front Spoiler covered in overspray 3 NSF Wing paint burnt through after respray and laquered over 4 Bonnet edge not masked correctly 5 NSF Bumper not enough paint used in smart repair and undercoat showing through 6 NSR Bumper Wheel Arch deformed 7 NSR Bumper cracked and painted over trying to hide without repairing 8 Rear Bumper paint not blended in 9 OSR Bumper paint cracked 10 OSR Bumper dent 11 Bonnet and both Front Wings been poorly machine polished after repair with loads of overspray So overview on my Seat Approved Used car by Seat Accident damage to front with front wing and bonnet being repaired Impact to rear causing the rear bumper to be forced forward into the bumper beam causing the bumper to be pierced deforming the rear wheel arch and cracking the paint Several other poorly executed repairs I should be clear I have been offered a refund by White Dove but this would also end up costing me hundreds possibly over 1000 to accept this and would give fraudsters the message that it is okay to treat customers this way I have taken the opportunity to have 2 valuations on my car I would expect an Approved Used Car from Seat to be classed as good condition No 1 expected valuation 10800 actual 9425 - 1375 No 2 expected valuation 11100 actual 9775 - 1325 So I have lost 1300 just by buying a car from White Dove I have also included the quotation for repairs from my nearest Seat Approved Bodyshop They have described the repairs as accident damage repairs and have put the cost of repairs at 2041 In this whole sad sorry situation White Dove Seat have left me virtually carless with a disabled partner Yes I have the car in my possession but until such a time as it is all sorted I do not feel that the car is my own nor do I feel that I am able to put any more miles on the car than is absolutely necessary Should never have bought from White Dove Garages Cardiff

Awful customer service
So I d like to start off by advising that I did not purchase a vehicle and this is based soley upon the service I received when attempting to test drive a vehicle I had booked in a test drive for the Enyaq However upon arriving and speaking to the sales assistant Emily we advised her that we were not looking at purchasing as we were intending on purchasing via the NHS lease scheme We were immediately told that we were not allowed to take the vehicle for a test drive because it was no benefit to them She continued to explain that they do not allow it as if the vehicle is damaged or written off during a test drive then it is an expense to them I queried this by saying is that not what insurance is for and surely a customer who is intending on purchasing would not be held liable Surely this is what you sign prior to a test drive and confirming you are willing to pay the excess for insurance claims etc I advised Emily that we had also booked in for Nissan and Peugeot later that day who were both aware that we intend on purchasing through the NHS scheme who have no qualms with us test driving their vehicle The only error I can see from my side of things was not advising them up front of our intentions but did not think it was going to be an issue I found Emily quite rude and dissmisive and as soon as she found out there was no potential for commission she was not interested and was not helpful in anyway She advised us to contact the NHS to test drive the vehicle because of course the NHS have a fleet of vehicles for this purpose Very poor service

Shocking Service or lack of
Absolutely disgusting service my step father purchased a brand new vehicle but wasn t told they were aware of a known fault with the vehicle until it presented itself being the older generation they have been fobbed off so many times that they have now accepted that there is a fault and will have to wait for it to be repaired but as it is a software issue there is no date for a resolution so tough it is disgusting that you are still selling cars knowing there are faults with them and taking peoples money you should be ashamed of yourselves we have tried to call the resolution Centre a million time with the promise of a call back but as usual they sit behind their desks doing nothing absolutely disgusting so disappointing but expect nothing less from the greedy people White Dove your customer service is none existent

Dreadful truly dreadful
Dreadful truly dreadful Took the car in for a service and they failed to put the cap back on the coolant reservoir This led me to be left stranded for two hours on the side of the road Spoke to management who offered no redress and did not seem to care Don t trust them with your car They are simply negligent and could not care less

Don t buy from White Dove if you want a decent level of service
On the 18th September my car suffered a coil spring snap due to rust and corrosion on the spring The car is a 67 plate and had only done 16 000 miles at the time Should this part be breaking already Is this a known fault On the 21st the car was towed to White Dove Suzuki and they looked at it Two dealers and a mechanic admitted it shouldn t be breaking now but couldn t explain why it happened I know the car is out of warranty but under good will surly if the part is broken or damaged it could be traced back to buying the car used last year On speaking to the warranty team they said cause it s not been serviced with Suzuki directly we won t help It had been serviced and booked stamped but they ignored that I spoke with Suzuki GB who basically said no we won t help the lady on the phone One of the advisors was rude and unhelpful They then lectured me on goodwill and warranty Not a great feeling to be told stuff I know Overall if you buy a Suzuki and it does brake don t expect Suzuki to help you They will palm you off until the warranty clock runs out White Dove Suzuki have been rude unhelpful and don t care about the customers

Poor customer service and poor
Poor customer service and poor standards of repair I have lost all faith and confidence in Skoda Brand I bought a car from Sinclair Skoda Swansea Had the car for 3 mths when started having issues with gear-change and rattling noise Took the car to White Dove Cardiff for repair under warranty Collected the car a week later but faults remain in the car was returned dirty inside and out I had to wait a further week to be told what work was carried out The standard of repair was very poor Complained to White Dove and Skoda Head Office and I have still had no explanation for the poor standard of repair or customer service Skoda warranty is not worth the paper it s written on

on 14 3 2024 i spoke to someone in cardiff via chat with regard to a bcm module for my 2019 Octavia 1 0 tsi I supplied the registration and vin number and asked for a price and a part number I received an email on the same day saying the query was sent to the relevant department who would be in touch shortly I am still awaiting a reply Very disappointed with them

I was lied to
Bought an approved Skoda Kodiaq in October 2023 Car only had 19 000 miles on and was 70 plate When I picked the car up there was only one key Dealer ordered a new one and sent it by post 3 weeks later I then had to arrange myself for another local dealer near to me to re-set and sync both keys to the car which took all day as White Dove took all day to approve the payment I have just had the car serviced and MOT d at the same local dealer and have been informed the front brake pads are 70 worn I saw this was a warning on the last MOT and was informed by White Dove that they had been replaced I have only done 3 000 miles since I bought the car so clearly I was lied to and the brake pads were not replaced prior to my purchase

Give them a miss
I would not even give this garage 1 star but unfortunately it was needed to be able to leave a review I would warn against doing business with them a complete waste of time and effort as they did not honour their signed order form despite us having paid a deposit of 879 We travelled to Cardiff having seen a Suzuki car advertised agreed price and signed contract Two days later I was informed that there had been an error in the price and that although valued by Carwow at less than the price we had agreed upon they wouldn t let us have it unless we paid another 3k We pointed out that legally they couldn t change our contract to which they replied that they could rely upon E Eo stamped on the bottom of the contract Our choice was a protracted legal battle or buying elsewhere We chose the latter and subsequently had an amazingly good experience with Arnold Clark Best decision we could have made Wouldn t want any further dealings with this garage The deposit was refunded but you have been warned

Sale cancelled by White Dove a day before collection
Update White Dove have now relisted the car they cancelled the sale on at 2 000 more than they originally agreed with us poor business practice so will be taking legal and consumer advice We agreed to purchase a lovely black 21 plate Seat Leon 1 0 TSI EVO SE Dynamic from White Dove Seat for my son and agreed for some issues to be fixed including a faulty parking sensor while this work was being done and a day before our collection White Dove contacted us to say the car was found to have damage serious enough so they can no longer sell us the car and we had no option other than a refund I find it unusual that we test drove the car with no issues found apart from the parking sensor this serious damage was only found a day before collection although the car had been in the body shop and service having other work done for about a week I will also add that the price it was advertised and agreed we paid the full asking price and did not even negotiate due to it already being a very good price was around 2 000 less than other dealers for a similar vehicle So was the issue known and this is why the price was so low or did White Dove misprice and then decided they no longer wanted to honor the price or was this a genuine major issue that they did not know about until a day before collection you can make you own judgement but either way my son is very disappointed with this last minute cancellation Overall White Dove sales and management team could have done much better in the way they communicated with us and did not really offer any assistance or support to find an alternate car for my son or even another resolution such as possibly repairing so the sale could continue they just wanted to refund as quickly as possible and walk away leaving us with no car we now are having to look at paying over 2 000 more for a similar replacement car through no fault of our own Not really the type of customer service I expect from a respected main dealer and certainly no way to build customer loyalty however this review is based on our experience and specific circumstances
