Great company providing quality homes
Bought my first Wiggett home in the middle of lockdown and the Sales Manager Paul was brilliant Kept me up to date and managed to bring the finish date forward to coincide with my sale The house is fabulous with quality fixtures and fittings It is still a building site but the staff are friendly and helpful Would highly recommend Wiggett Homes

Heartbreaking experience
Once they had my money they completely changed their attitude So many issues with my house that they either refused to sort out or only sorted after many emails and calls Attitude of sales staff and the so called after care staff are appalling There are too many problems to list In the end you just want to get on with your life and block out the negative experience which is probably how they keep getting away with it The worst nightmare when buying a new build home is that you won t get what you were promised and that when things go wrong you won t feel listened to Both of these things became a reality with Wiggett homes We have spent so many hours emailing and calling this company as they are completely inept when it comes to customer service AVOID

Avoid avoid
Avoid avoid been complaining about a specific issue for thirteen months Wiggett homes refuse to come to my home and even see the issue this isn t a little snagging job it s a serious construction fault it s caused a lot of upset and anxiety what should have been a happy experience in a new build home has turned out to be a horrible experience from the day moving in thirteen months ago This is issue is not going away

AVOID WIGGETT HOMES
AVOID - DO NOT BUY FROM WIGGETT HOMES Everything written in this review is completely the truth When we first moved into our home we were persuaded by the sales team to leave a positive review on our home buying experience This review of course should now be disregarded as we experienced an abundance of problems after this We bought our home in August 2021 and it was not long after that that our problems began - from leaking toilets to kitchen appliances being fitted incorrectly to the worst of our many problems - a leaking roof which leaked for a total of 17 months As you can imagine we had countless people in and out of our home during this time for the main problem to have still taken so long Although when buying a new build you should expect snagging issues here and there you generally expect these to be seen to and fixed within the first month or two Unfortunately that was not the case for us As a young couple buying their first ever home together we wished for a positive experience which is absolutely not what was received Our experience was completely ruined by Wiggett Homes and we of course lost complete trust in our home as we are constantly expecting another issue to arise Not being able to decorate a whole room in your house because you suspect it will be ruined by yet another leak in the ceiling is far from what you should have to deal with especially in a new build home We found the directors to be extremely rude not to mention completely oblivious to how they make their customers feel when dealing with such stressful and sensitive topics For customers paying such a large sum of money you expect to be treated with a little respect and understanding - this couldn t be further from what was received by certain senior members although I won t name names To sum up the above I would highly recommend NOT buying from Wiggett Homes A shocking home buying experience from the start

We bought an apartment in Saddleworth
We bought an apartment in Saddleworth in 2019 and we continue to have enduring problems due to very poor build quality Over the years we have had scaffolding erected several times for many days in an attempt to install cavity trays that should have been done before the properties were released Materials used on these occasions were simply left strewn besides the property where they remained for over a year In effect we lived and continue so to do on a building site The response to complaints was generally dismissive and the so called defects are still being remedied The windows were not properly installed and have leaked from day one This company is undoubtedly the most unprofessional I have ever dealt with I would never use them again

Plumbing and building snags
Bought a new house in Greenfield Saddleworth 2021 Have had lots of problems with poor plumbing Two leaking toilets and a third where the external wall was left exposed from inside Leaking radiator that ruined laminate floor Money was sent to compensate for this All of these faults occurred within two year Aftercare agreement and were sorted However the radiator problem went on for months Now have a leaking shower Wiggett s fitted a batch of faulty showers They were not aware of the fault until problems started after fitting Instead of contacting all residents to review the showers they have waited until the leaking emerged I have been informed only three needed attention out of twenty plots My neighbours have reported to me at least five showers needed attention I am now outside the two year window when they will sort out snags and they have not reported the shower problem to the manufacturer for me despite the shower still being under guarantee No information regarding this manufacturer has been shared until today when Wiggett s have responded to this review Wiggett s had assumed the Aftercare Team have informed me of where to report the faulty shower In response to this review they have at last given me the company s details Lots of external snags too Poor pointing and dirty fascia s not cleaned Gaps left in external wall All fixed eventually I now have a leaking pipe that I will have to pay to get fixed

Gaskells Horrible Injustice and ignorance
We bought a flat in Saddleworth built buy Wiggett and run buy their appointed company Gaskells And it is the worst managing company to run private block of flats We have multiple problems with drinkers and anti-social behaviour caused 6 visits of police only for 2 last months We installed a couple doorbells cameras that helped to ease situation However without asking majority of residents Gaskells took off the doorbells cameras We checked with police officer and it is our right to protect ourselves family and private property On the top of it the entrance door doesn t work properly from day one our corridors remind institution than private home as no decorations there We have a neighbour using BBQ and storing gas bottles on his balcony that is against any fire regulations but Gaskells directors allowed him to keep and use it We have smashed car recently in our communal parking and no idea who did it as not a single camera there We don t have a simple table in the hall and all parcels left on the floor next to the entrance We don t have right to have doormats in front of our doors it is against fire regulation but BBQ is fine Our multiple letters to Gaskells Directors on behalf of majority of residents left without acknowledgment and answers Horrible Injustice and ignorance

Not built to building regulations
We bought our new build in 2018 and had problem after problem for quite a while The after sales team were appalling and the managing director rude We won our case initially with NHBC and they forced Wiggets to rectify some issues Now 8 years down the line we have extensive water damage from what has been identified as a major fault Wiggets didn t build the roof to building regulations and there are important aspects actually missing The NHBC warranty isn t worth the paper it s written on - as we re so far down the line the repairs have to be above 1850 for the NHBC to even consider paying out Don t be reassured that Wiggets have to answer to the NHBC Wiggets can do what they want and not be held accountable

Great company to deal with and beautiful house
Moved into our new Wiggett Home 2 weeks ago and it s the best move we ve ever made we put a reservation on the new build in late 2019 and from there it was all plain sailing even the Covid nightmare has not blighted our move or experience because from the start of lockdown I received regular calls from Wiggett sales either to update us with news or just to ask how we were which I thought was fantastic Eventually they were able to continue the build to completion and in those weeks we also had professional and friendly contact from our sales negotiator June who I have to say is really approachable about anything and made all the legal stuff easy too now the house - we were asked to inspect the property on receipt of keys we found a couple of issues which we reported back and these were tended to and resolved within a day we were also given 7 days to make a snag list once we moved in because as June said sometimes you don t immediately see something you re not happy with until you move in we did find a couple of things to report and have a timeline for when these will be dealt with but all small issues nothing that I m too worried about After 2 weeks of living in our new home we are so happy with the build fixtures fittings and the site itself is lovely we couldn t ask for more and although I don t expect to ever move from our forever home if I ever did contemplate it I d be more than happy to check out and purchase again from Wiggett Homes a big thank you to everyone I ve had the pleasure of dealing with in particular Paul June Steve Gordon what a great team
