Brilliant piano lessons

I ve been having piano lessons with Olwen after a gap of at least 50 years and am really enjoying them I had some lessons as a child but haven t played since then and have been working through the It s never too late book Pam Wedgwood under Olwen s supervision for the past three months Her tuition and support is fantastic and I really feel inspired to practice daily Consequently my skills seem to be developing and I feel much more confident than previously Using Skype is much easier than I thought it would be and in fact I forget that she isn t in the same room as me

Never too late to learn the Piano

I started as a complete beginner and after 11 lessons I can read music and am tentatively playing two-handed pieces My tutor is encouraging me all the way

I m an adult learner of the piano and started just under two years ago I love my lessons with Olwen and have made what I consider to be significant progress in that time I m usually working on three pieces at a time and have just completed the Never too late to learn the Piano book that Olwen recommended We also do scales and other exercises and I m picking up bits of music theory as we go The lessons are fun and I am really not at all conscious of the screen now that I am used to working with Skype
