A Traveling Teacher changed my son s perspective to Algebra
A Traveling Teacher offers outstanding tutoring services My son is in 9th grade and Algebra is really challenging for him he had a F when we reached out looking for services After few sessions my son went up to a C and seems to understand the academic concepts much better Tutors at A Traveling Teacher do a great job connecting with students keeping the lesson engaging and meaningful They are also very flexible and caring

Excellent math tutor
Peter taught both my daughters math for a year and it was a pleasure having him as a teacher Our goal was to strengthen the girls math abilities and strengthen areas that were weak He was successful in meeting those goals with both girls excelling in class Our experience with Peter was above expectations

Wonderful math tutor
We have been using Peter as a tutor for a couple of months now and it has been nothing short of a fantastic experience My 13-year-old has made great strides and has become much more confident in math Peter is so encouraging and patient which is exactly what my son needs I appreciate that Peter is very communicative with parents and is open to using different methods to customize the lessons for each individual student We are so happy we found such a great resource Highly recommend

Peter is great with students and parents he is truly a professional at tutoring kids
I have three kids that attend private and public schools one in elementary middle and high school For us academics and especially math has always been challenging and we have extensive experience with tutors learning centers and special education The traditional classroom environment has always been a struggle for my boys who have ADHD and dyslexia From an early age I have been working with tutors at home in order to boost their confidence reiterate concepts and preview so they are more successful in class and in Math After COVID we spent most of our time with tutors just catching up and reviewing on lost material and lessons that they missed due to remote learning This is still the case a few years later My eldest son is a competitive athlete and he chose to attend private online school while training this year We hired Peter to work with him to make sure he truly understands the material and not just goes through the motions and submits answers online we were concerned about what deficits he would have from those lost years in public school during COVID and how they would continue to create challenges in his math learning and progression Peter has an incredible ability to put my son at ease make him feel confident and is committed to insuring my son is learning to be an independent learner Peter won t move forward with assignments or lessons until he feels certain that my son has truly mastered the concepts In the past we found some tutors to be just interested in getting the assignment completed some even created a dependency and just gave answers We also struggled with tutors that my kids dreaded meeting with because it was boring and the energy and positive personal connection was missing for them This has never been the case with Peter and my son has learned the foundations of the math lessons presented in his school classroom and also filled gaps that would have otherwise followed him down the road of his Math progression and hindered his ability to fully succeed in advanced math lessons and on standardized tests Peter is professional attentive and communicative with both myself and my son and understands the delicate balance of working with teens and the patience this entails He has a friendly demeanor and comforting tone of voice he is motivating and encouraging but also created a serious and respectful teacher student relationship He is assertive and holds my son accountable when needed without the need for my involvement but keeps me informed of timeline progression and concerns Truly a gifted teacher with unique set of skills that yields results

We are so grateful to have found Peter from A Traveling Teacher for our daughter She was struggling with pre-calculus in her junior year Every night homework was exhausting and tests were stressful It caused her a lot of anxiety Literally after one session with Peter her grades turned around He was able to break through to her in a way that her teacher was not able to She is more confident in her own ability now and no longer feels nervous before her tests Peter stays on top of the material and is always prepared for each session He stays in regular contact with her during the week and requests copies of what she is working on We give him our highest recommendation

Excellent tutors Helped my son a lot in his algebra 2 class He had trouble understanding material in class and the tutors here really helped him understand the material better I saw real results and saw his grades improve
