Enchanting India

We had been to India in 1991 shortly after the last Gandhi assassination and that was a rough experience We had wanted to return and we are intrepid travelers yet we were leery of experiencing another challenging trip One of our friends has traveled to India several times with Enchanting Travels and recommended we investigate their offerings The personalized and private travel model was the perfect way to enjoy this fascinating country with confidence From our first introduction to agent Anita we knew we were in good hands Once she made the initial arrangements she forwarded us to Namrata in India who was available and invaluable throughout our travels This model of travel depends upon the people who interact with the guests and we were delighted by both of our drivers Amar in the North and Sunil in the South were terrific at navigating the traffic finding pleasant places to eat and taking us to the sights Our guides were also wonderful and all were generous with their knowledge of the history culture architecture and arts of the sights we visited We really appreciated the variety of daily activities offered from the glorious Moghul architecture mosques and temples to the walks through city centers and markets often where the guides knew the vendors A unique treat was the breakfast prepared by local women in Mararipulum using fresh fish our guide bought at a market They ground and mixed the spices to prepare three dishes for us Another highlight was the Kathakali performance in Cochi where we were able to watch the performers apply their make up and demonstrate the meanings of their movements and facial expressions before the performance began We were also able to add an extension to Thrissur to attend a theatre festival there Our trip was indeed enchanting on all levels form beginning to end

Loved my Costa Rica trip with Enchanting Travels

Enchanting Travels did a wonderful job of working directly with us to create a customized travel itinerary specifically catered to our travel needs and desires This was not a canned trip itinerary Every detail was thoughtfully put together just for us The accommodations and partners in-country drivers guides etc were all top notch I will definitely travel with them again
