My first delivery was perfect and I was very satisfied with the product My second delivery arrived fully thawed Getting on the Butcher Box website to report the thawed product it appears a common issue and offers to send a replacement Three weeks out and still no replacement box but shows my next scheduled delivery for May I have since cancelled my subscription

This sounds like a good idea however the cuts are overpriced for the amount that they send Items are often missing causing a great deal of inconvenience in getting a refund and driving to the store to replace the items You are better off going to the grocery store and buying what you need

I ordered my first box but didn t know
I ordered my first box but didn t know it was a subscription Customer service said it say it in the Term Agreement section Instead of them giving an option to subscribe they put in small print so U don t catch it U can order a one time purchase but U have to call and request it which seems shady that U can t just do it on line I will not be purchasing anymore boxes from them This has just been my experience with them

My first box was magnificent My second box was barely 40 worth of meat Had missing items and got rotten chicken Customer service was atrocious Not even close to concerned about customer satisfaction Was basically called a liar and issued a 14 refund without my permission Btw they charge premium meat prices but I never received any USDA choice or prime meat

Poor customer service wouldn t let me cancel
Was a loyal customer at ButcherBox for years Had delayed next shipment out a bit in January for dietary issues Received a confirmation of next order and immediately went online to cancel and noticed the website has changed and you cannot do that anymore So I notified by email to cancel this account and had to go back and forth several times to no avail So I outright canceled my account and am disputing the charge with Amex Great way to treat longstanding customers

Steer clear I NEVER post bad reviews I was not surprised to see no one who has experience with them has walked away satisfied Rude customer service agents over priced and under served Would not cancel or refund a box that s two weeks late and counting Buying from the store AND them No discount offered During pandemic there was a noticeable different in meat quality and service

I am canceling my Butcher Box subscription because the last order I received contained items I did not order that I would never have ordered Customer service offered me a 20 credit but claimed I had ordered the items 20 did not come close to covering their mistake I don t trust this not to happen in the future so will not continue
