They promised a guaranteed return on my investment but after investing my life savings, I got nothing in return. They seemed legitimate at first, but it was all a scam. I initiated a fund transfer to my Degiro account on July 4th Unfortunately the funds have not yet been credited to my account due to an ongoing bank exchange process It s quite frustrating that even after a month on August 9th I haven t received the funds back The situation is compounded by inconsistent responses from customer support each providing different explanations and mentioning the need for approval from someone This level of uncertainty and delay is truly exasperating I would advise caution when considering Degiro for financial transactions

Actual trading on the platform is fine however after moving banks in Denmark I am trying to change the linked account and it is proving a nightmare Customer service is via email only calls go unanswered and no solutions are being offered such that at this point my money is effectively stuck in the degiro platform and I am unable to withdraw it

I am not able to confirm new bank page litterateur gives a pop-up error The email support does not answer My money is stuck on their platform

Despite asking at least three times sill cannot find out the book cost and acquisition date of shares that I transferred out of DeGiro The account was blocked and DeGiro sent me a statement Every time I ask they tell the the book cost is on the statement under local value It is not Despite pointing this out I just get the same wrong answer Either the replies are from a BOT or the staff there cannot read The customer service is awful

Decided to proceed with a direct deposit Money did not arrive within the 2-3 timeline I contacted customer service who told me they could not accept my transfer and returned it immediately I was supposed to receive the funds back within 3 days Funds did not arrive customer service went MIA no replies no further help no further feedback Funds came back more than 5 weeks later minus fees even though they were the ones that decided to reject my transfer DEGIRO s customer service is absolutely horrendous they do not reply in time take 7-10 days to get back with a useless comment which does not provide any reassurance It s scary to see the customer service level of Europe s leading broker You would expect them to be capable of helping replying in a timely manner and provide feedback on the issue especially one they created They are dealing with people s money but they don t care at all

As you can see from the comment from DeGiro it is polite but does not answer the question The support staff there are completely useless and stupid I have asked for a security that it non tradeable to be transferred to my name To do this I need a stock transfer form I have asked three times and each time a get a from to transfer to another broker and that transferred to the DEGIROnon-liquid assets Degiro Foundation account The staff at DeGiro do even understand what a stock transfer from is

Useless is only the tip of the iceberg Customer service is awful what they promise to do over the phone doesn t come to fruition They hide behind many different email addresses to confuse people Stay away from this appalling platform

In the process of closing my account DeGiro disabled the account so I could not access the account I could not access a contract note for a sale They would not transfer funds to my new broker Did not went me a closing statement Failed to answer questions properly Absolutely useless incompetent and customer service non existent Lodged a complaint and no answer Moved to Interactive Brokers who so far are good

Despite asking FOUR times to transfer a non listed security to my name DeGiro keep replying with the same answer and a form to transfer to another broker Looks like DeGiro uses a BOT to reply to questions and always returns the same wrong answer If you use DeGiro and something out of the ordinary happens you will regret it DO NOT USE DEGIRO they are cheap for a reason They are useless
