Frankly I m really quite disappointed the look is good the variety of fonts pre-populted templates etc make the app actually web-based program- you have to be logged in to the internet to use it quite attractive at first But to be honest despite all the hype it is clunky and difficult to use i spent over 9 minutes just trying to re-site a paragraph from one page to another With the standard I m hoping for from a finished product and the amount of editing I need to do the jerkiness non-responsiveness and slow speed of reaction are not at all what I expected i had previously been using kindle s create which is free and though it s not at all as sexy it s definitely faster to reach a finished product I m still looking for a good editor to prep for publishing- Designer sadly is not it

I bought this last night and figured I would wake up today and tackle learning how to use it I wish that I actually had a chance to use it to review it but when I try to use the link I was emailed it doesn t work I ve tried in Chrome I ve tried in Edge It says Mmmm we ve not received the payment yet please wait a few more minutes and reload Well I have waited and waited and waited reloading several times I ve also sent multiple messages to the chat with absolutely no response After over 2 hours yes I m that frustrated that I have kept it up and kept a close eye on it on my 2nd screen while I did other things on screen 1 I noticed the message showed as seen but still no response at all No emails at all either not since receiving the initial barrage of purchase emails totaling 4 that included the receipt showing I paid for this crap that I can t even use My advice is don t waste your time or cash on something that will likely only cause you a headache The poor customer service alone is enough to tell me that I want nothing more to do with this I just want my money back Editing to update After almost 5 hours and FINALLY seeing someone typing and telling them I could see them typing I did have a person showing as Claudiu in the chat respond to me Of course this was AFTER I watched message after message be seen but not responded to He tried to tell me that it was probably because I cancelled my subscription for the PRO free 7-day trial that was the reason I couldn t access anything I told him it was not that it wouldn t work before that You see I had finally found a way for me to cancel the free trial on my own 15 minutes before he finally responded If I could ve gotten it to work at all I would ve actually tried it out Mind you they do not give you an option to cancel your entire purchase and request a refund That can only be done in their chat Soooo after I repeatedly told him I wanted him to cancel everything and be refunded my full purchase price he told me he d forward to the business department to have them get back to me ASAP That was over an hour ago and I m not holding my breath Btw I do have screenshots of the entire conversation as well as the dashboard showing that I ve cancelled the free trial 9 13 update They did refund my money it just took until the 13th to do so I would ve liked to have had a working product from the start and would ve been okay with the issue had there been a helpful customer service team to assist right away to resolve it but that was not the case I m happy that they at least refunded my money and have updated my review from a 1-star to a 2-star due to that I can t give better because I didn t have any opportunity whatsoever to actually use the program

I get it It s cheap and you get what you pay for sure But it s buggy Seriously the user experience is painful What comes out in the produced material is not 100 what is shown in the editor Also whenever clicking a button you don t know if it s gonna come up with something you didn t want Like i generated footers and they are not consistent when they should be Or the footer generated a hyperlink that i never asked for and goes nowhere When you import a word document it does not respect page breaks you have to redo it manually painful when there are 50 pages Some expected basic features are not present like aligning the second line in the table of content It looks absolutely unprofessional I can t sell that Or dividing a paragraph in two when there are bullet points so you re not left with weird page breaks And if that s possible to change this the interface is very not intuitive Clicking on buttons on the editor can sometimes be tricky ironically MS Word Document is more intuitive and less buggy When clicking undo some nightmares happens Like i was editing the table of content that drags onto 2 pages It extends to 3 pages upon editing i click undo only half comes back to the initial page and the other half is stuck on the other half of the third i have to retweak everything manually I mean come on it s 2023 The thing is that in the advertising it was really sold as the super magic tool producing awesome ebooks in just 1 click Technicaly speaking you can but no one would try to do put it out there without customizing it a bit and doing so is painful Same for generating content with Chat Gpt integration I won t be too servere because this AI thing is very new But same ability to actually produce good content is not happening with it and customizing afterwards takes LOTS of fixing which goes against the initial purpose Also i thought generation would be unlimited and i ended up having limited credits Maybe it was mentionned somewhere on the sale page but not clear to me I remember being offered unlimited credits Available templates for basic subscription are VERY basic Like very basic If you want to create and sell very basic content it will do the trick But if you want to publish a good piece with decent value you ll have to do it yourself If you want something with good value either in visual or writing you ll have to do it yourself I see this as a basic online ebook editor but no one-click magic if you expect selling your ebook more than 5 I ll add that the support is not the most helpful and takes time to answer Don t get me wrong it s not a bad tool but this comment is the result of a the gap between the expectation set from the advertising and the actual delivery I came and paid to save time I feel i have not save time and don t feel i ll renew the experience Again it s good value for the price but i had been sold something different that what i expected

The app itself is marginally useful but it s such a cheap feeling that cancelling your subscription is completely hidden and nonstandard giving you the feeling that they want to earn money from having a lot of users who get their cards debited from sheer inability to ask for a cancellation Search for designrr io cancel account

Spent more time figuring out how it works rather than actually generating the ebook It doesn t import document formatting as is so it is not so smart after all Feature which I dislike- table of contents tables images headers footers etcImplementing elements that are applied to every page for example footer looks quite impossible to do I still haven t figured out how to do it and video tutorials make no mention of it

Only two-stars because if you purchase their intro offer you are immediately shown DesignrrPro with tools that were implied in Designrr -- of course for a lot more money Then they follow this with another upsell to Designrr Premium for even more money then Designer Agency Premium all for templates and capabilities that they have held back capabilities that you thought were there in the purchase of Designrr etc Evidently you get a small subset of the full capability with Designrr If the first level pans out I may come back and modify this rating but do be warned the Designrr offer is a rabbit hole of upsells

Seems a good deal but after taking the normal version every step is pointing you in the direction of buying a more expensive upgrade to get the full options Typical aggressive sales strategie to persuade you to buy more yauchhhh

Really this app is not worth the money its not user friendly compared to apps such as canva and the system is clunky and hard to use

It does do what it says as far as being able to import your existing work into a letterhead format but it is so slow and glitchy that it takes me back to using old old microsoft where one wrong move can mess up your whole project nothing should be this slow or glitchy in todays world

I saw their offer on YouTube and it seemed to be a good idea I am currently using Atticus but for the price of 27 for a one-time purchase it seemed like a good idea Well going through the purchase I started getting offers for a variety of upgrades It was not until I reached the page where I saw that this is just a basic standard version and that their pro version which you can actually use to publish your ebooks on major platforms such as mazon kindle costs 37 a month Suposedly you can get it for 97 a year if you pay attention to the various offers during your check out but I didnt see it and even if I did I would not be interested since I already have ebook editing software that meets my needs It was not straight forward to get the refund but at the end I was contacted by I guess the owner Paul who eventualy issued me the refund even though supposedly the customer can request the refund themselves For some the basic version of the Designrr may be useful but for me having PDF as the only format option for exporting the ebook makes this software unusable since I produce ebooks for comercial sale that require different exporting formats I cannot comment on the quality of the product since I never used it but I would say that the company should be more transparent in their advertising tactics stating that they have variety of versions of their software with different capabilities and prices Not mentioning it at all in their video advertising and only highliting the pros and the tremendous discount that you are getting makes the customer really mad when they finally get to their payement page and find out that what they expect is actually a lot more expensive than what they were meant to believe
