Too sweet

Too sweet I bought the variety pack and was disappointed by the flavour of them all I m not sure why it needs so much artificial sweetener I grew up with sweet cereal in the 80s and these vaguely reminded me of the worst one I ever tried some budget brand my mum never bought again Too much artifical sweetener aftertaste Other ingredients service etc were all great

Too Much Sweetener

Nice simple branding for a non-cereal The Cheerios experience is almost there but for my taste there is way too much sweetener being used This sweetness overshadows the other flavours which are a bit subtle The 4 pack I ordered Banana Cinnamon Peanut and Caramel Biscuit were also disappointingly small for the price Each pack is only about 4-5 helpings For me adding dried fruit nuts seeds and reducing the sweeteners by half would be an improvement But not sure why it needs to taste sweet to be vegan friendly unless it s masking a pea soy protein taste

Not really healthy

I kind of like the taste of the cereal but like most cereal brands Surreal s claims of healthy are at best misleading This cereal is an ultra processed food UPF absolutely chock full of artificial sweeteners their liberal use of these is really quite overpowering which are shown through scientific studies to be terrible for your gut health As someone who has struggled with various gut issues and was looking for a healthy cereal low sugar non UPF I was disappointed to see the marketing from Surreal They can and should do better

Okay but over rated

Okay Cereal if you eat fast The aftertaste of sweeteners is nasty Small box of around 4 5 servings a little overpriced Worth the try for a one time buy

Sweeteneerrrrr

Sweet sweet sweet There is so much sweetener it gives a really sickly sweet taste obviously May just be my preference but if you don t have sugar don t pretend with nasty chemicals Real organic flavoring would be way better imo Would be great to have less sweet options with less artificial sweetener Also would be great to see the seed oils swapped for something healthier Would genuinely become a recurring customer if this happens Great to get in some easy extra protein and if you have a sweet tooth this will be amazing for you

Sweetners are too much

The cocoa flavour is okay and a useful thing to have in the cupboard for an emergency snack albeit it s overpriced I m not a fan of seed oils so I wouldn t eat a lot of it The sweetners are STRONG The frosted flavour is like eating a sugar cube The honey crunch flavour tastes like I d accidentally sprayed perfume in my mouth It had a really odd chemical taste and an unpleasant after taste I actually threw the bowl away Buy a variety box Try the flavours If you like one get it on a special deal either via Surreal or somewhere like Holland and Barrett

Good concept terrible execution

Have to say the concept really got me and I fell for it The execution though not so good The boxes are absolutely tiny like i mean miniscule More like a maltesers grab packet than a box of cereal And for basically 6 quid a box that s disappointing I personally couldnt stomach any of the flavors either They taste really artificially sweet but to the point where I can t just power through And then leaves a very strange after taste I tried 4 flavors maybe I just chose 4 bad ones but yeah Good concept just not tasty or worth the money at this stage

The taste itself is not too bad

The taste itself is not too bad especially since it s high in protein I thought I would comment to warn people about the misleading marketing advert about 62p a bowl This is completely FALSE I get about 4 bowls out of the box and pay over 5 I do not fill as much as they do on the advert either

It s ok

It s ok It s very expensive for what it is The texture is great The taste is ok it tastes like a crunchy protein mix a bit chalky and very sweet in an artificial way but the biggest thing I found is it gives me gas causes bloating and soft stools I d sprinkle a little with some Greek yoghurt to use up what I ve bought definitely couldn t eat as a bowl of cereal unfortunately I likely won t purchase again because of the side affects

Overpowering sweetener flavour

I really don t know how this cereal has so many good reviews My son ordered a box of 8 packs and the overpowering taste of sweetener is awful The whole family thought the taste was disgusting They will all be going in the bin
