I can t fault exotic direct for the

I can t fault exotic direct for the kindness they ve shown when I ve had to call to remove my rats from cover and when I ve had to claim They ve given the right information first time on every call Highly recommend the claims are settled promptly as well I wouldn t look elsewhere Fantastic

Seriously Upped their game

I have to say that this company has seriously upped their game I phoned recently the lady was so helpful completed all I needed to do with speed efficiency One pet taken off two put on with no hassle at all Thank you

Paid out on a claim

Helpful company when I put in a claim as my ferret jumped out the Xmas tree He fell was an emergency vets job and racked up about 350 of vet bills I submitted a claims form which was pretty straight forward Took a little over 6 weeks for it to be processed but they just paid the vets directly Was pretty hassle free I have no issues

Highly Sensical Insurance

Considering they seem to have the monopoly as far as exotic pet insurance goes they could easily become complacent Not the case though they are a brilliant company to do business with - dealings with them are quick professional caring and hassle free They make changes without charging and they seem to pay out without any drama Generally a helpful and understanding company and know their sector really well indeed Can t really fault them at all so far - long may it continue

Brilliant

I really don t recognise the company from the other reviews I ve been so impressed with Exotic Direct They ve always been very responsive to emails very friendly knowledgeable staff on the phone and really quick decision and payout of claims We ve had several medical problems with our guinea pigs over the last 6 months and they ve been compassionate and helpful each time One of our ongoing problems is dental which is only covered 50 but that was clear in the initial documentation So I just want to say thank you to them for making some very difficult times a bit more bearable

Dealt with claims perfectly

I had a policy for 5 years and never had to claim until my pygmy hedgehog developed health issues Exotic direct dealt with all claims quickly and efficiently paying my vet directly I have no hesitation in recommending them

Fast claim processing and refunds

When I adopted a Czech wolfdog 11 years ago Exotic Direct were the only company that would agree to insure her And I have never regretted that forced option They have processed all my claims within 2-3 days of receiving completed forms from my vet And my refunds always follow quickly within 4-5 days Not once have they questioned or rejected my claims I have also always been able to speak with someone on the phone - although hardly ever needed to since the claim process is so efficient I trust them and highly recommend them Completely baffled by the negative reviews

A better outcome now 8th Nov 2023 We ve had first class for

We ve had first class insurance for our two skunks The vet caused their problems refusing to remove damaged scent glands from birth until one was 14 months the other 18months As a result they have fissures paralysis in their bowel We manage the issue so quality of life has been improved less infections less pain The vet is also very aggressively expensive So would their option be pay up or next time put him to sleep I didn t realise the insurance company were taken over in 2023 by Hedge Fund Now I understand why we had the phone call to say my Boy can t continue to be covered they ve changed the terms of the contract Now one of the boys is unable to be covered for his problems we ve encountered over the years I have had no complaints other than our instant dismissal from this part of his care we ve been with them 14 years I ve found them an excellent service It s the Hedge now in charge that wants less cover but take the same monies There s the rub Is this a breach of contract I have to highly recommend this service from exotic direct my concerns have been investigated as a result my two boys are back under full cover No breaches just a massive misunderstanding on their part One of which we were unaware of once cleared up Things fell into place The actions of the company after contacting us were swift efficient professional as well as considerate I m soooo very grateful at peace I m so sorry for others less so I wish them well to recover their losses

Excellent Insurer

I was with them with my last Syrian hamster Rolo and my most recent Syrian Hamster Stormi They have paid every claim I have made directly to my vets promptly and with minimal fuss - even my vets were surprised how promptly they pay out When my hamsters have passed they have been sympathetic - refunding partial premium but still paying the ongoing claims There have been minor amounts not paid such as specialist foods but this has been clearly explained by their terms and fair Any email queries are dealt with clearly and fairly and I believe they are one of few insurers worth having for exotics Overall I have enjoyed the peace of mind of knowing I can take my hamsters into the vets whenever they need without being stung by an unaffordable bill
