Buying GameDev courses was the best decision I ever made The lessons are well detailed with in-depth sections that take into account people with less experience in programming They build your skills from the ground up so you can become autonomous in this beautiful adventure which is game development The courses are based in an education concept known as spiral curriculum spiralling syllabus which revisits important topics with each encounter increasing in complexity and reinforcing previous learning

They are a video-based service without any provided captioning transcript services They don t even have auto-captions available in their video player I wouldn t have bought a course bundle through them if I knew this - I have hearing problems which make trying to learn without captions a pain

Very good teaching team If you want to learn coding and developing games with Unity or Unreal Engine this is the easiest to recommend team

I first found GameDev tv s founders on IP torrents and after watching a couple videos I just knew I had to pay for it - content was great and so well made All their following tutorials have also followed suit

Absolutely wonderful courses and community I like that they try to get you to figure somethings out on your own It will leave you beating your head against the wall but feels so much better when you do accomplish it on your own

Honestly these guys know there stuff I have never taken any courses like the ones GameDev tv provide They care about their community which reflects in their content They have upgraded most if not all of their courses for free to reflect the needs of their community but also the changes with the software provided 1000 recommended

I have only taken 2 1 2 of their courses and I have been blown away at the level of quality and education they provide I have backed their future Math for games kickstarter and I have plenty of their courses yet to finish looking forward to every single one of them I have taken other courses and most of them remind me of your average YouTube tutorial which is ok but you get them free on YouTube I had been using Unity and doing game dev stuff on and off since the early 2000 s When I first bought a GameDev tv course the 3d course 2018 I learned so much so fast The way they explain things reminds me of formal university they have quizes discussion boards they design their content around a spiral syllabus and much more My 2 cents if you really want to dabble in the dark arts of Game Development buy a GameDev tv course and start your journey proper -Sov

I ve taken a number of courses from GameDev tv and - to be honest - I just keep coming back for more The presentation team are enthusiastic extremely knowledgeable entertaining and ultra-keen on making sure the Udemy student has the best chance of learning and practicing new skills It s clear that a huge amount of effort has gone into creating these courses which are top of the line education resources but then the team puts the same amount of effort into engaging with the students through a multitude of channels as well as another massive chunk of effort in updating the courses on a regular basis I m hard-pressed to think of any other education team online or traditional that puts in so much effort or creates courses anywhere near the superb quality of GameDev TVI ve had a blast learning new skills with GameDev TV and I know I ll keep learning as long as they keep putting out new and updated courses
