Unethical membership practice

I applied to learn more about this group in August of 2021 off a Facebook ad Again the message was that I was applying to learn more about this group Before I received any information I was billed Confused I reached out to ask for more information and a refund until I made a decision about this group being a good fit At this time I was sent a cold templated message that my request was not possible and that I had agreed to a yearly subscription This felt very manipulative and didn t leave a positive impression This summer I had my assistant write to you to ensure my monthly bill was canceled prior to the year mark We received no response from your team and now it appears I ve been locked into another year and billed again I received a templated response which now is providing me with an option to PAY to cancel As a business owner I am quite surprised at the lack of personalization or concern for these membership and billing practices

I signed up not realizing that this is

I signed up not realizing that this is a paid membership I asked to be unsubscribed and couldn t for far too long I got nothing out of this and was quite frankly really pissed that I had to continue They need to fix this issue instead of getting rich off people

Ridiculous Membership Lengths - unhelpful customer service

Having to agree to 6 months of membership at a time is ridiculous When I asked them to please cancel as I was using none of the resources they are not relevant to someone in my region as there are no meet-ups or talks near me I was told it was not possible and they would continue to charge me The resources may be helpful for those in cities with hubs but if you are not near one of those cities it has little value

The experience was not what I expected

The experience was not what I expected There were mostly MLM owners who tried to pass themselves off as business executives As the CEO of a medium sized business we are not in the same league Also the membership was hard to cancel and the response I received was cagey

The company won t let me cancel my

The company won t let me cancel my membership I canceled the membership last month but they keep charging me And there s another charge scheduled for next month And they refuse to give me refund for this month claiming that it takes 30 days to stop the charges It s unscrupulous and hypocritical for them to steal from a small Black woman owned business

A HUGE Disappointment

A HUGE DisappointmentI really wanted to like this organization and engage with the members However after about 6 months of trying I realized it wasn t for me Sadly you are locked into a 12 month contract with no exit This finds the organization with people in it who are angry and dont engage because they dont want to be part of the organization Holding members hostage to boost their numbers isn t an effective membership strategy When I approached leadership about leaving I was told there was no wiggle room to leave They are a money grab I would recommend spending your valuable dollars elsewhere

Sneaky membership renewal practice

They renewed my membership after a year with absolutely zero emails stating your membership is renewing or notice When I am renewing others charges they get a notice saying they ll be charged and when Especially after a year a warning is a business practice that tells your customers you stand by your product and don t have to sneak a 350 charge that they don t remember Then when I asked for a refund they refunded all but 75 Why keep the 75 And no one responded to my email

Very little value

Very little value and you cannot cancel outside of a year membership I tried their mentorship program thinking it would be great and was highly disappointed This company is boosting numbers by holding you hostage in a contract with them for a year at 35 a month A total joke You shouldn t have to force people to be your members Avoid at all costs This is not for executive women - it s a bunch of people pushing workshops and freelance work
