Just SHY of being perfect nothing is perfect
First let me state that some of the skeptics that will read my review MAY think or put in writing that I must be a current employee or related to an employee perhaps even have some interest in the company itself I do not I am a senior citizen who lives at the farthest point in the PNW that they still manage to find me to deliver my weekly order box right to my door Its hard to find good healthy organic foods that I can afford on a small social security and no pension I am also a person with serious health conditions and the opportunity to buy a better quality of food at a fair price is very surprising to me UPDATED I am revising my review since now I have been buying from Imperfect foods now for a longer time frame I am still not only enjoying the wonderful choices some things are a bit harder to get because the company may not get that product each week or they may have a more limited amount of a particular item but there is always then the opportunity to try another of of their choices I am doing a lot of healthier choices now I am cooking more and my energy level is improving because I now can afford to eat better both produce and meat dairy sea food poultry My favorite is the ground bison yum Whether I order the bison or the regular hamburger the one thing I noted right away was there was NO water that was infused into the ground meat so that I looked like I was getting more meat then was actually in the package a trick the grocery stores often us When I cook it it doesn t get watery but stays the portion and frys up nicely same with the organic chicken its has excellent flavor While once in a while I still have a few tiny clitches I am so happy in general with the experience I remind myself that no one company is going to be without a bit of an issue the difference lays in the companies response when I notify them I have maybe a tangerine or two that s a bit soft just an example I haven t found one yet This week I tried their orange cranberry scones so that a cup of something warm in the mornings sitting out on the deck would be great with something yummy I highly recommend this company I am very pleased with their whole mission statement to reduce food waste but still provide a great product to their clients and they have met and surpassed my expectations I highly recommend Imperfect Foods for every household and enjoy eating well and feeling better

Imperfect foods is awesome
Imperfect foods is awesome I love the fact that this company gives a damn about the environment Each customer saves on average up to 400 pounds of food from being tossed in the landfill Overall they save millions of food each year from being trash In a country where we waste 1 3 of the food we produce a staggering figure this is incredibly important to me I love the variety of options that imperfect foods offers they have unique products like pistachio milk and banana beans We absolutely love perusing their options and selecting the wonderful organic fresh produce Occasionally they even send extra I assume when they have a surplus because they will offer a great deal in those cases as well One time we got so many apples that we made apple pies and an entire large crockpot of apple butter Our friends loved it I love that imperfect foods encourages us to be more creative in the kitchen and pushes us to be evermore earth friendly in our practices I can t wait to go plastic free I assume this company will eventually too Wasteful packaging is a huge pet peeve of mine and I love that imperfect foods uses only reusable and recyclable The ice packs are also compostable They will pick up your freezer bags and ice packs each week My only constructive criticism is that occasionally an item is incorrect or missing However I do not agree with the poor reviews When was the last time any of us went to the grocery store and didn t forget something And also didn t end up leaving with a lot of snacks I didn t plan to buy but that s another story Occasionally we get some really weird shipping and packing issues but as that is something that s downstream from the top of the company I would assume it s something that they are already working on and aware of Once we got a single bell pepper in a large box and the other box we got was full It seemed like maybe Yoko Ono snuck in and made an art project to me These things happen with any retailer don t believe the bad rap The quality and the value of what you will get is so wonderful You are saving the planet while saving yourself a trip to the store What more could you want
