A little shipment of joy full of high quality products

What a fantastic little business I love having pretty nails but am absolutely terrible at getting them to a reasonable state myself I don t quite have the budget for frequent visits to the salon but my skills alone just won t do the trick I have also always made the great mistake of buying cheaper polishes and doing my nails in a hurry before rushing out of the door which of course means immediate flaking which then makes me feel frustrated about the whole thing I decided to get one of these kits as a cheeky little present for myself and it was totally worth it The nail guide helped me to sit down and take a calm moment to read through all the advice properly I realised the first step is of course to change my own bad habits so I followed the guide and for the first time ever took the time to prep my nails before getting started I started with a hot shower to soften the skin then let a good lotion soak in for a few minutes After this I used the small wooden tool to gently push the cuticles in place and scrape a bit of dead skin off the surface of the nails I then used the nail file provided to get my nails to the right shape This took maybe 15 minutes and they looked better than ever before The nail file is probably the best one I ve ever owned it seems such a small thing but the quality of these tools really make a difference to the overall experience After prep I used a base coat and then one of the gorgeous pastel colours in my box taking the time to let each layer dry properly - I had made some coffee in advance and put a programme on so I had entertainment that didn t pose any risk to the process The polishes were easy to apply and a single layer was enough to provide an even finish After drying I finished off with a top coat and then finished my coffee while waiting for it all to harden This was the perfect time to have one of the chocolates as well The result looks really good I don t have great left hand coordination so my right hand is always very difficult to do but taking the time to do this properly means the right hand looks better than I ve ever been able to achieve before There were several benefits to doing it this way - For the first time I paid proper attention to what I was doing making the overall result more precise and sleek - The product quality is high so the process to prep and apply was easy - I didn t get frustrated at any point along the way it was all very smooth and enjoyable - I took the time out of my day to not just do my nails but to give myself a BREAK It has been a busy week and that little bit of time to myself - maybe an hour total - has really given me a calm and pleasant start to the weekend I wouldn t have taken the time for self care if I hadn t had this little shipment of joy to remind me of the importance - Now that I know how lovely these boxes are I can think of several people I will want to surprise on their birthday with one - the selection on the website is really good so there s something for every taste and it is an easy and efficient way of getting a present to someone who lives too far away for a personal visit
