I ve yet to use the product as not arriving until tomorrow but am hopeful it will be good I found the website slightly worrying as I put my card details through 5 times got authorised then was told payment cancelled each time On emailing was told this was due to the product not being in stock at the time but that stock had now been added I feel this should have been made aware of on the site i e new stock coming soon it was worrying getting all these rejections Looking forward to reviewing the machine itself

Very happy with my Melitta coffee machine for 8 years - but a few weeks ago it just stopped and nothing I tried could get it working I called several times but no answer I left a message for a call back No response I then emailed as the automated phone message said that was quicker no response by email either I was going to buy a new Melitta machine but in the end - directly due to the complete lack of customer support- I went with Rivelia DeLonghi and am very happy with that Total lack of response from customer service means pushing loyal customers away

The Melitta coffee machine is not the most practical for small quantities say two cups Because of the shape of the jug and its plastic seal around the neck it is difficult to completely empty Unfortunately it takes up more space than our previous Cookworks machine which was less than half the price but now sadly discontinued It loses stars for having pointless features such as the Intensity dial If you want weak coffee just add water for heaven s sake The timer is similarly pointless Why leave the ground coffee exposed to the air overnight Just get up five minutes earlier and leave the coffee in an airtight container for eight hours The instructions tell you to disconnect the power when unattended by the way which means that the timer has to be set before each use How tiresome is that This German design is the coffee machine equivalent of the Panther tank too big too heavy and too complex to be of practical use

Ordered a replacement glass jug for my Optima timer machine - ordered easily online but box was badly damaged when delivered by dpd A slight knock on the draining board had shattered the origional jug they shatter quite easily and therefore replacement jug sales must be quite high My machine was a gift and I was upset when the jug shattered Without me knowing the person who gave me the gift contacted the company and was not very happy about how the enquiry was dealt with

This item a milk lance should be included with the coffee machine as standard it shouldn t have to be purchased seperately The machine comes with a floppy rubber pipe that you place into a milk vessel - very inadequate unless attatched to the milk lance Come on Melitta start to include them with the coffee machine purchase as standard

Melitta Look Therm Timer Coffee Machine Purchased Jan 2023 binned June 2024 This makes great coffee and the thermal jug keeps it warm without stewing for several hours BUT and a huge but it frequently overflows because the coffee does not drain from the filter into the jug Tried rinsing all components each time before using to ensure no grounds blocking anything but it still overflows more often than not Just got fed up of having to repeatedly mop up

I bought a replacement carafe for my Melitta coffee machine and they are nearly half the price of the machine They are very delicate and easily broken I appreciate that is self evident as they are made of glass but the cost of replacement has put me off buying a Melitta machine again despite being happy with it otherwise The service experience was fine

I had a Melitta coffee maker before this one and was very happy with it This one does not hold as much coffee 12 cups as opposed to 15 which is OK when it is just us but not when you have company Also they sent the wrong filters It needs 202 and not 100 Otherwise I am happy with it

Good website to make the purchase with good product details The online account lets the process down No way of tracking expected delivery times no way to change email address etc

This is the 2nd coffee machine I have purchased from Melitta My first was rather disappointing as it was very expensive and caused no end of problems From the heating element breaking down in the first month to the hopper breaking after 2 years Not to mention the endless cleaning cycles it needed the machine finally broke down completely after only 3 years Customer service were great while it was covered under warranty but didn t want to know after that For the money spent I expected the machine to last a lot longer So this time I purchased a filter coffee machine that still grinds the beans but has less on it to go wrong So far it s great fresh coffee at the touch of a button and I don t need to clean it so often It also comes with 3 year parts and labour cover so hopefully I ll get more use from it 3 stars from my overall experience of this company should have done better first time round
