Motoitaliane delivered me the book from Alan Cathcart about Dr John Wittner The book is called Dr John s Moto Guzzi I drove in the 90s a Moto Guzzi Daytona 1000 i e - also called the Dr John Replica So I knew a little bit about Dr John But this book contains an interview with Dr John where you can find out his real life story He was not only a dentist DMD who did motorcycle racing as a hobby He also had a university degree as an engineer With his enthusiasm and his technical skills he made a major contribution to ensuring the survival of the Moto Guzzi brand in bad times So this is a great book about a great man and his life and his motorcycles I can absolutely recommend it Sadly Dr John Wittner passed away on Feb 15th 2024 RIP
