The network is effective in assisting with supplementing an existing book of business or even as a primary source of business if freelancing My only recommendations for process improvement would be a more visible resource for freelancers if they have administrative issues or questions On more than one occasion I ve had a difficult time finding personnel that can assist with administrative issues such as inquiring about a non-receipt of a 1099 Paro s EIN underpayment etc Additionally I find that I sometimes have two or even three separate individuals departments asking the same questions about the status of projects as though internal communication needs improvement For example if an open project has fewer hours in a given month than usual on more than one occasion I ve received an email from an individual or department asking for an explanation which I then provide followed by yet another department or individual asking the very same question and even possibly a third individual department I have begun simply forwarding the initial correspondence to the subsequent inquiries for which I previously took the time to document This is indicative of internal siloing

Marketing Team Really Cares

Edited review I initially left a 1-star review here with lots of details about my experience It was all based around their sales process which was not suitable for my needs Basically I knew exactly what I needed and had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to pay for it The sales process was not particularly streamlined or easy on my end though which was an important factor for me in hiring someone for minimal accounting help I ended up finding the accounting help I needed elsewhere Even though I made that clear in my review I still received a genuine response to the review and an email from the head of marketing I ended up having a brief phone call with him in which I provided some more details about my experience Usually this kind of response or followup from a company after a bad review especially if the reviewer is not likely to be converted into a client is defensive and lacking in personal care or attention Paro s response was anything but It was clear to me that they genuinely wanted to learn more about what went wrong so that they could improve their processes I very much respect that My initial complaint still stands hence 4 stars instead of 5 but it sounds like they are working to improve their sales process for those that know what they want and just need a simple streamlined experience If you are lost and confused about accounting bookkeeping and you re not sure where to start or you don t know how much help you need and you just want to talk to a proffessional first to get more comfortable Paro is likely a perfect fit for you

I believe Paro is truly committed to making the best potential match for their clients within their freelance network The sales team truly cares about making the client happy and providing a fit that works for both the freelancer and the client This ensures both parties have the optimum experience and are satisfied with the engagement

For the most part

For the most part the experience has been great Joshua Dominguez has been great to work with However I have repeatedly requested to update the email in my profile it does not allow me to do it yet it has not been done Some people never respond to questions
