Even though it s online education

Even though it s online education there should be a better way for students to get into contact with a tutor for clarification With Pennfoster this was not possible You waited until a paper was submitted and the tutor got back to you with some ridiculous comments then you read those comments made adjustments resubmit your paper and that would go on until they finally give you a grade

Wasn t impressed by the lack of depth

Wasn t impressed by the lack of depth in the program I felt that there should have been much more instruction on function of different weapons Probably wouldn t recommend it to someone thinking seriously about being a gun smith I understand its not a 6k course but you would serve your students better by charging more and giving more

Not the best but good for the price

I used them for multiple programs first I used them for an associates degree in veterinary technology I completed 2 of the 4 semesters but at the time this was in 2012 they offered no assistance in finding places to complete your practicums and I was unable to progress because of that That s fine vet techs ended up not making money in my area anyway Despite the lack of help I did like the self-paced program and the ability to make monthly payments So I went back in 2018 to take their medical billing and coding certificate course At that point I had significant industry experience under my belt so the curriculum felt basic to me but for someone with zero experience it would have been comprehensive I did complete the program and passed my Certified Professional Coder exam on the first try in 2019 My only complaint with that program is that in the middle they switched from offering the gold standard AAPC certification test as a part of the curriculum to a lesser known most likely cheaper option That certification will only be a disservice to future graduates employers don t ask for it because of when I enrolled I was still able to use the AAPC option At one point I did sign up for their associates degree in healthcare administration but decided to disenroll since the credits wouldn t transfer to a bachelors degree I sent the email as requested but they still sent me to collections Overall I do recommend them for people who are looking for cheap education However I STRONGLY caution that if self paced distance learning isn t your thing don t do it
