Truly the worst scam Their QR code stopped working in the middle of a trade show or conference demanding payment Customers at our booth were so confused There are MANY QR apps that are less evil then they are in how their app business works Use QR io at your own RISK

Didn t tell me my code would stop working after I sent it out on invitations made me pay for it monthly then didn t link that payment to my email so no way to cancel this ongoing charge now

DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE This is the most misleading scam website i have used i got the QR code and they make out you just download the qr code after you have made it and everything works fine We spent 1500 on marketing with this qr code on all our business cards flyer etc then 7 days later they send an email saying you have to pay extortionate prices for the qr code to work and link the qr code that you made back to there scam site until you pay the monthly fee We are going to pay the 1500 again rather than pay these scam artists a cent Do not use this website

In the future I will avoid QR io like the plague QR io purports to provide you with a free QR code and then proceeds to hit you with an undisclosed monthly fee to keep the code functioning The provided code redirects traffic through a server with QR io as a gatekeeper to either redirect to your website if you pay their fees or to intercept inquiries and block traffic to your website if you do not pay their fees I suspect QR io is meanwhile collecting data for QR io s own purposes from your prospects customers clients who use the free QR Code provided by QR io Our nonprofit fell for the scam when composing a print magazine ad promoting a scholarship program Our organization will suck it up and pay QR io s non-trivial monthly fee for a few months which feels like making a ransom payment to keep our ad functional but I feel we were played You can get durable QR codes that do not include a monthly maintenance fee the Adobe Express online QR code generator does this for free If you have had a similar experience you might want to consider reporting the incident to your state s attorney general s office

Bait Switch Pricing

Used their free QR code and it was beautiful I added it to promotional materials and everything just to get an email stating that the code was expired and I needed to subscribe I thought to myself How bad could a QR subscription be so I looked into the pricing 35 mo BILLED ANNUALLY is highway robbery for a basic analytic tracker There was no way I was going to pay 420 tax in a lump sum for a QR code Thankfully I was able to find a beautiful stylized QR code elsewhere and cancel edit my marketing materials before it was too late The designs provided by this site ARE really dynamic and customizable but they need to improve their pricing structure to something more reasonable and in line with what the average small business can afford and would be willing to pay My suggestions for QR io 1 Clearly communicate your pricing pricing structure UP FRONT2 Lower the monthly rate3 Charge the subscription fee monthly4 Allow users to purchase individual QR codes not everyone needs unlimited codes scans

Complete scam

Complete scam I found that there s a way to complain about this scam to Google adds directly Please do so They announce it as free QR code generator but after a few days they make you pay more than 30 dollars a month to keep your QR code active I had printed my bussiness cards with a QR io code in them without knowing this and now I either have to pay a crazy amount or I have to throw them in the garbage I feel scammed and would not recommend There are plenty of other sites available

Hidden membership fees make everything useless

This company is dishonest in its advertising They advertise free QR codes for 7-days and then deactivate anything created Your only options are to pay the previously unmentioned 35 monthly 350 yearly membership fee If I had know about the membership fee to keep it going I never would have used QR io in the first place I don t mind paying a few dollars to keep things going but 35 a month is ridiculous and with no disclosure about it in any of the trial sign-up creation or output process it just feels intentionally dishonest Not to mention now the codes that I spent time and a significant amount of money distributing as Christmas gifts now are totally useless

Create Free codes that aren t really free

Used this site to create a free qr code for my kdp book business notify envy so these free qr are published inside my books to lead to a promotional site but now all of the qr codes have expired so are useless apparently I used a dynamic code and not a static code If I want my code to continue to work I have to pay 35 every month My advice try other sites instead
