This isn t free and you will be expected to pay 35 just for your code to work We used this for baby registry codes and now have to pay every month till the baby shower for people to get to it

Contrary to the link and Google name this isn t a free generator as your codes will expire after 7 days It does not tell you the monthly charge you will need to pay until AFTER the trial is over which is 35 of 350 for the year There is also no page disclosing it s a trial Upon making a new link and account it s fine print at the top after the codes already been generated and downloaded We used this for our baby shower and now have to pay every month so people can access the code we put on our invitations Be careful because they are not upfront with their information and now we are going to be out 100 because of it

This website is a scam

This website is a scam pure and simple It came top of the advertising list when Googling Free to use QR codes but having embedded one of their QR codes into a leaflet which I had printed thousands of I discovered upon scanning it to test which I had done many times at the proofing stage that the code had expired and I now need to pay 35 per month to subscribe to their plan and re-activate it Nowhere was this made clear on their website I ve used many QR code generators over the years and have never been scammed in this way before It seems from reading many other reviews that I m by no means their only victim and makes me wonder how many other businesses charities individuals have been conned in this way and wasted thousands in printing costs Is a single one of their positive reviews genuine Avoid this site at all costs

I originally was thrilled when this website was advertising free QR codes I had made a video of our holiday light show and generated a QR code for the link to the video and added the QR code to our CHRISTMAS CARD THAT WE SENT OUT TO 87 OF OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS I received an email 7 days later that my QR code has been paused and I must pay 35 to re-activate it This was such a bullcrap move and was not clearly stated anywhere in the initial QR code creation process that you would only have the code active for 7 days I never would have added it to our Christmas card and sent it out to people knowing that I would have to pay 35 to keep it active after 7 days Well I m not doing that so screw you QR io

Turned out it s a 7 days trial Recently generated QR for an event which I thought is free to use Once the fliers are published and shared all over then only I realised that the QR is not working anymore Luckily the flier had the original link and escaped from this scam

SCAM

This company needs to investigated on a federal level The only positive reviews here seems fabricated and completely fake This website presents an easy way to make beautiful qr codes These codes link to whatever you like eg a URL They work for a week or two and then suddenly demand payment of USD35 month Ok fair enough they never mention FREE on their site but there pricing structure remains elusive until you hunt for it and it lets you generate the QR codes without prompt or mention They also come up as a top hit upon googling FREE QR generator They know exactly what they are doing Shame on you all

4 or 5 star reviews are yet to discover the 400 dollar catch

Unfortunately most positive reviews on Trustpilot for qr io have just created a code or similar and are yet to discover that they will need to pay 35 dollars every month or face losing the use of the QR code Creating and using QR codes is usually a free service without a catch Sadly qr io are charging more than 400 dollars per annum for the same service

This is just a scam Plain and simple They advertise as FREE QR generator but never mention it is only for a trial period Then they charge you 35 per month to use your QR There was nowhere in their site a reference about their pricing list nor did they mention anything about trial mode I would not recommend using their service unless you are willing to pay annually 350

BEWARE IT ASKS FOR MONEY Created and downloaded a QR code Nothing on the page to say anything about it limited use or cost I used it to put easy access to my wedding website for a few months and even printed on the invites When went to use it - asks you to pay 35 a month or 350 A YEAR to continue to use the url now having to pay so the guests can actually RSVP If I had known would have used something else

Scam Don t bother to sign up for free QR-code After a week the codes get deactivated without notice Nowhere on site is this mentioned Please don t answer with stupid comments Just change this unfair policy At least this should have been stated clearly on site when new QR codes were generated and a timer telling that the code will be pauses after a certain time Now I m stuck after printing the code and will make new prints No I will not pay 35 usd a month for a couple of QR codes

Truly the worst scam Their QR code stopped working in the middle of a trade show or conference demanding payment Customers at our booth were so confused There are MANY QR apps that are less evil then they are in how their app business works Use QR io at your own RISK
