If You Ever Doubted

I never write reviews but I thought I can share with people who are out there still figure out life I was 30 years old when I decided on a career and Rasmussen had a lot to with it Like most people I was just tired of being sick and tired I loved the company I work for Humana Inc but my position as a claims processor was getting redundant and I was burned out I wanted more so I initially went for a Medical Coding to get the credentials to become a Claims Analyst in the midst of my program I was promoted and relocated I still finished the Medical Coding program and even passed the board exam and got certified I am happy with my promotion but I still felt I need the education to be financially secure so I continued to the HIM Associates program I have 5 more weeks and will sit for the RHIT Exam and I plan to continue to the HIM bachelors program and become RHIA certified My advisor Courtney has been there every step of they way Even when lagged behind The professors are great They cover the basics and all I did was go back and study the preparation for the exam is everything because the weeks are broken up by the domain so you have that time to study with an instructor and ask questions I have 3 kids I work full time and have a loaded schedule There were nights my boyfriend and kids pulled my head out the books and laptop There were times the sun had come up as I finished my homework You are your only excuse No reason as to why to can t do it Don t think about it just do it I had actually been to two community colleges prior to Rasmussen on and off since high school 2005 By the time I am finished I would have completed 3 programs received 3 certifications in 4 years

Rasmussen is what you make of it

Before enrolling at Rasmussen College I read many online reviews A reviewer said Rasmussen College is what you make of it This is 100 correct I joined Rasmussen because it met my most important needs 1 Flexibility fully online and 2 self-paced I started my Associates program in Buss Mgnt in Fall 2017 and completed the Bachelors in Buss Mgnt by Summer 2019 in 22 months SummaCum Laude I achieved 100 of my goals in Rasmussen plus I did it with 21k in student loans not much IMO In addition I participated in the Rasmussen Leadership Academy an experience I found very enriching and I worked with the college in the work-study program Rasmussen is exactly what you make out of it If you are focused determined and you go in with a defined objective Rasmussen will help you meet your goals I am currently enrolled in a top 40 MBA program US News FT Forbes ranking I must warn however that if you are undecided why you want to go to college or what you want to get out of it Rasmussen is not the place for you There are no baby-sitters and you must be on top of your game or frankly YOU WILL STRUGGLE and I have seen many do so The successful Rasmussen student is mature proactive and self directed a very different experience from regular college The instructors are genuinely interested in helping you succeed save for one or two I experienced but will also enforce academic policy as needed The class semester structure can be quite hectic so if you fall back you will be overwhelmed Overall I had a good experience and I would recommend Rasmussen to motivated and self-directed students 4 stars because of the student advisors that I worked with They functioned more as notice boards than helpers meant to guide me through my journey and a few times I had to go jaw-to-jaw with them to achieve my plan

I see a lot of negative reviews about

I see a lot of negative reviews about this College which is now a University I give Rasmussen a 4 out of 5 stars I attended Rasmussen online program in Nov 2018 I graduated in Sept 2020 with my A S in Marketing My experience with Rasmussen was great The instructors were very helpful If you don t understand any of the courses you can easily send the instructors a message or even call them Initial post discussions are due on Tuesday Responding to two or more students discussion posts are due on Saturday Assignments and or quizzes are due on Sunday Also Rasmussen provides tutoring services which was very helpful One problem I have with Rasmussen is receiving my honor cords My GPA is 3 85 which is considered Summa Cumm Laude I am supposed to receive honor cords At first the person in charge of the graduate program has been responding to my emails but now he is not I even contacted the Dean and he has not responded I feel ignored It s either you re going to send them or not lol Some of you may think it s just honor cords who cares I worked hard for my degree and if I am supposed to receive cords as a token for my graduation I would love them College is not free and it can be very challenging Unfortunately based on the licensing rules for online programs NY Connecticut and Rhode Island does not accept applicants from those states I can no longer attend Rasmussen because of their new licensing rules I will be enrolling elsewhere for my B S For those who say jobs will not hire you because you graduated from Rasmussen or from online college is a complete lie I know someone who graduated from Rasmussen online program with their B S and now has a great city job with a great salary It s all based on your transcripts resume and how well the interview goes Online college is even more popular and essential due to COVID-19
