About Rosehilldesigns

Community Murals by Co-Creative Connection in the United Kingdom

Rosehilldesigns operates as Co-Creative Connection, a community-focused art organization based in the United Kingdom. The company specializes in Community Murals, Community Workshops, and Community Commissions, including Commercial Commissions for businesses and homes. Their work focuses on bringing communities together to create vibrant and joyful spaces through co-design workshops, public art, and mural projects that celebrate local culture and identity.

How Co-Creative Connection Works

The process begins with Listening & Gathering Stories, where artists host workshops and conversations to collect stories, ideas, and memories from local residents. Everyone is welcome, and no artistic experience is required. The next step is Co-Creating the Design, where artists synthesize community voices into a mural design, sharing drafts and refining the work based on feedback. The final phase, Bringing it to Life, involves collaborative painting days and unveiling celebrations, resulting in a mural that serves as a symbol of pride, belonging, and unity.

Impact and Community Engagement

Co-Creative Connection reports significant community impact through measurable engagement. Key figures include 615 hours of community-led workshops, 5,709 participants aged 0–95 across 23 diverse boroughs, and 57 partnerships with organizations. The company has completed 36 community art projects while maintaining a 100% delivery success rate, meeting project timelines and budget targets.

Featured Community Murals and Projects

  • Teviot Estate Mural, Poplar:This mural encapsulates the past, present, and future of the area. Inspiration drew from Scottish heritage, African artwork, Islamic artwork, and residents' ethnic backgrounds to reflect the community's diversity.
  • The Great Get Together Festival, Stratford:A 3D portraits workshop where participants created life-size portraits of friends, family, or loved ones, turning plain 3D tubes into individualized masterpieces.
  • Clean Prose Mural, Shoreditch:A commission for Clean Prose London's co-working space for writers, designed to add productivity and mindfulness through curated art elements.

Community Feedback

Feedback highlights the company's collaborative approach and positive community impact. One Social Value Manager noted Rosehilldesigns' flexibility and ability to incorporate natural changes during a regeneration project, while a Community Wealth Building Delivery Manager praised the process of reflecting residents' diversity and individual stories in the final mural. These testimonials underscore the company's role in enlivening neighborhoods and fostering inclusive creativity.
