Christmas ElvesSGS came to our rescue a few days before Christmas - we were rushing around with the normal pre Christmas events shopping etc so couldn t spend all day arranging and waiting for engineers - the SGS team were very prompt with communications including emails in after normal work hours unflapable in the face of our stressed panic - came out and fixed the problem with some creative work arounds given we needed to be up and running before xmas showing that they knew our boiler inside and out - and then came back immediately when the work around failed the next day - I am very happy to recommend them

Could have left a sour taste
Our boiler was broken beyond economic repair We had no hot water or heating and our immersion was not working either The situation was dire and my partner was in tears We approached four companies and SGS were the lowest quoted price and could fit us in at short notice too The engineers fitted the new boiler very efficiently as a team they were tidy and courteous too However we were informed that part of our existing heating and hot water set-up was non-standard and that we would have to have a new control valve installed before our new set-up would be classed as safe This was disappointing as we expected it to be picked up in the survey for the new boiler I contacted SGS expressing our disappointment and Andy the director of SGS responded almost immediately He outlined the reasons for this not being picked up by an engineer whose focus is on the specification of the correct boiler consideration of condense flue outlets as well as the flow pressure Despite this Andy understood our frustration at this unanticipated expense and offered us a substantial discount on the works as well as a discount on an installation of a NEST controller which we had previously expressed interest in The invoice turned up very quickly and the appointment was booked in quickly This is what good service looks like a director with a genuine interest in satisfying his customers coupled with very competent engineers and efficient admin staff For us a situation which could have left a sour taste in the mouth was sweetened by Andy s quick response and understanding of our frustration I would not hesitate recommending SGS following this Gary Bates Laverstock Salisbury
