I feel like there should be better checks on the kind of people that are allowed to open accounts on Telegram I almost lost my life savings - about 214 000 to a scam I foolishly fell for on this app It all started when I was randomly messaged by an Asian woman who I thought was just trying to be my friend She ended up giving me unsolicited investment advice which I fell for and that made me invest in a forex company I now believe is owned by her The only reason I m still mentally stable is cuz I managed to get back most of the funds but that was after I reported the issue to FinReclaim and they took it up I m just putting this out there to warn people to be more careful

Used telegram for over two years without a problem one day it said my phone number was banned no explanation can t log in have emailed their support about a week ago from link in the page telling me i m banned no reply Have never used telegram for anything other than personal communication and following people I like to hear Absolute rubbish no explanation given for ban Rubbish

It s just a huge company there is no technical support for users they only offer the help of volunteers but after my request about the problem when the Favorites chat was just cleared with all my information no one contacted me If I m not mistaken it will soon be like a year since I sent my requests moreover they do not give any case number or approximate ticket processing time it s just a shame

Utilized EA trade copier that connected from the EA provider to telegram to my broker Way to many errors that seemed to involve telegram to make using the service viable Then the kicker when I attempted to cancel the EA services on Telegram it is basically a secret to stop the billing instead of having a straightforward way to cancel NOT GOOD

The spam filter is too aggressive I talk to one of my friends on Telegram a lot and we use a lot of stickers It keeps sending me warnings and that my account has been reported for spam despite me only contacting the one friend who has not reported me It keeps threatening to ban my account and giving a dismissive passive aggressive response with the bot they let you ask questions about it that comes off as super condescending I m using this app to message my friend not get a lecture for spam that I am not doing Will be moving to another service that doesn t try to monitor my DMs As I want to have a full review I will also add that certain features locked behind premium such as the ability to disable receiving voice messages is fully arbitrary this is basic safety anti-harassment functionality that is to be expected from an app not a premium feature

Be careful it is hacked don t believe it is secure and also rely on volunteers some of them assist with illegal groups by leaking your sensitive info It s not fully end-to-end encrypted If you are forced to use it disable the sensitive permissions and don t sync your contacts

Banned account when using and paying for services on telegram such as trade copiers Support is non existent Super frustrating as has real potential

This is bot-infested and censoring people from not being able to write in groups and even my name is blocked being found Very sick environment with bots and censorship I will write here until they wake up and start thinking instead of using ai to modify users Sharing info doesn t mean it s spam I never tried to sell anything nor was i told that that conduct was not acceptable

this company simply censors you and does not even allow you to participate in groups for whatever reason they have not even facts for the are infested with bot that can t do anything to help you solve problems obviously they don t care about users

if I could give NO STARS I would telegram is by far the worst instant messaging app they re filled with bots scammers and viruses they actively defend scammers accounts and promote them and if you get reported by them for not falling for their scams duh telegram restricts YOU and eventually bans YOU not the scammers so yeah they can go f themselves
