Absolutely horrendous experience
Absolutely horrendous experience Getting my watch sent off was a breeze but everything else was slow and unprofessional I was offered more than I asked for for my piece but after the inspection which was only to take a few days but took 6 1 day beyond when the deal should ve been done in its entirety they changed their offer and attempted to low ball me After waiting yet another day beyond they agreed to my price but then said it would take yet 2 more days to receive the back transfer form I filled it out immediately upon receiving at 0830 but was told that it would be yet ANOTHER 24-48 hours before I d they d transfer funds into my bank All told I m at 11 days with my watch being in their possession and 5-6 days beyond when this sale was supposed to be completed Communication has been terrible slow and scripted as if these delays are commonplace If this be the case the rep can simply say this instead of We typically have it inspected and paid out in 3-5 days Honesty goes a long way especially when you re concerned with thousands of dollars of watch DO NOT SELL TO WATCHBOX I was tempted to mention my rep by name but I don t think that ll be necessary TLDR WATCHBOX may be legit but moves in the most shady of manners Don t sell your watch to them

Terrible sales reps Even worse pricing
Where to begin calling watchbox can only be described as an exercise is amateur salesmanship Terrible reps I spoke with Jason Mayne about buying a 16520 Zenith Daytona Found the listing and had a few questions about condition I started with questions I already knew about the model to test his knowledge honestly He either provided false incorrect info about the model or was simply ignorant on it He said he d call me back with answers No call back Called back a couple days later and he was annoyed that I called Then mentioned that sales tax would be charged out of state even though my state was NOT on their list He said website hadn t been updated Still hasn t been updated months later I ended up spending 20k elsewhere because Jason is dishonest and rude Watchbox pricing is AWFUL to boot AVOID WATCHBOX AT ALL COSTS Scam site also buys up models and hoards them before pumping pricing in secondary market They are poison for the industry

Wouldn t value my watch or respond
I originally requested a value for my Breitling Avenger and after a week of waiting I never received a response I was also considering to trade the Breitling for a Rolex they had on their website I ended up contacting them to say I never received an offer on my watch and they told me they were not interested with no explanation I decided on not even trying to but the Rolex from them

Would never sell or recommend anyone
Would never sell or recommend anyone else selling their watches to Watchbox Once you learn how much of a margin they re trying to make off each deal you ll be disappointed with them to say the least They give low ball offers on every watch and then mark up by 50 when listing on their website No wonder they never have any decent inventory because no one in their right mind would sell at their offered prices

Purchased a Tudor Black Bay 58 925 from
Purchased a Tudor Black Bay 58 925 from Watchbox They had two available at that point in time at different prices and in different conditions The lower priced one was already covered in a light tarnish which gave it a significant warmth It was also on the distinct taupe NATO strap The more expensive one had absolutely no tarnish on it and was on a much darker NATO strap as pictured I bought the more expensive one as I figured preventing tarnish would be easier than fixing AND preventing Well Watchbox sent me the cheaper more tarnished one Watch is going back but it s just gross how frequently the companies try to bait and switch

Avoid Watchbox Govberg
Avoid Watchbox Govberg It pains me to write this considering I ve bought sold with Watchbox in eight-plus different transactions that I can count offhand starting since the 2010 s Of course as a repeat customer you d expect more than the client experience I describe The long story shorter is that their team from Client Advisor to their CRO have convinced me that they re purely in the business of selling watches and not standing by their products customers in any material way Facts of the situation -I sold them a watch I purchased directly from the manufacturer after they appraised it at top dollar and in perfect working order -Turns out the watch held more sentimental value than I realized so I purchased the watch back from Watchbox a few months later In between the time I sold it to them and I repurchased it they serviced the watch as part of their process -Two weeks into repurchasing the watch I noticed a screw loose in the skeleton back and the watch stopped working -I contacted them immediately and they provided instructions to return the watch to them so I did -They ve had it for 4 months 3 months which illustrated disorganized processes and are communicating they will not return it to me for another 7 months Beyond the fact that they re comfortable with the watch being out of my possession for 10 months they ve shown little motivation to resolve this situation more agreeably Unfortunately this ordeal has also exposed significant gaps in their quality control and client services processes e g the watch should have never left service in the condition I received it and their support team should be more accurate proactive in the updates they provide Aside from my own history with them I routinely referred friends and colleagues to Watchbox and after this -- never again on either front
