Tyhpoo one cup teabags are appalling
I bought 4 boxes of typhoo one cup teabags at the end of 2023 so they are still very much in date as they were on offer at my local supermarket Just started to use them this year They were boxes of 100 teabags I used one of the bags in the foil wrapper which there are two foil wrappers in each box One side was fine then when I got started to use the other one the bags kept bursting or so I thought I had bought 2 of the boxes for myself and 2 for my mother My mother had the same issue The bags are unusable I contacted Tyhpoo initially by email to complain about the issue I had I had no response I tried to contact them by telephone which was hard as no one would pick up I eventually got through and the woman that I spoke to said they hadn t received my email Then allegedly she checked the junk folder and could see my email there I gave her the batch numbers of the boxes which are the same She was very nice and apologised and said that from time to time they have issues with the bags sealing She would send out some vouchers I thanked her Weeks passed and nothing So I tried to contacted Tyhpoo by telephone again no one would pick up Eventually got through this morning and explained that I had not received the voucher She said they were posted out end of February and if I hadn t received them they could not do anything I was shocked I said that do they have no way of tracking them She said no I said well if I had used the voucher they would have known I am not happy as I have unusable teabags their teabags defeat the purpose if I had wanted loose tea I would have bought loose leaf tea I would not recommend Tyhpoo at all I think their customer service is appalling they know I have not used the voucher or they could have simply sent an e-voucher we are in 2024 after all

I have been drinking Typhoo for 63 years
I have been drinking Typhoo for 63 years but since 2023 the quality has deteriorated to such an extent that I will not be buying any more ever I had hoped that this was just a short term problem with the change of ownership but that is obviously not the case Not only is the amount of tea in each bag about half what it used to be it is virtually tasteless with minimal aroma and often not an aroma I associate with any kind of black tea It makes no difference how long the bag is steeped it tastes like dish water The packs also come with an increasing number of broken bags and lots of spillage of loose tea that makes a mess everywhere I would give zero stars but needed to mark a star to be able to provide a review

Typhoo no longer cares about its customers
I have always bought Typhoo tea bags and generally purchase the large format packs quite frequently 2 x 1100 bags last time unfortunately my recent purchases have been awful with very poor flavour and the bags continually splitting breakingI complained to Typhoo directly and after a few months still no response let alone a refundThis once great brand has totally gone down the panFinally got a response to this review 6 months later in the meantime I managed to contact the company directly and that was a total waste of time offered a discount voucher to sample one of their other products Yorkshire tea for me now on in not only tastes good but the company values its customers

Recently I ve noticed that a large amount of Typhoo teabags simply break apart It s not as if they are stirred hard or squashed to get the maximum flavour they are just not of decent quality I ll get in touch with trading standards to register a formal complaint Judging by the large number of people complaining here Typhoo simply don t care and never respond to comments Come on Typhoo at least attempt to restore peoples trust and have the decency to reply

Teabags are splitting open regardless of how carefully you are Having to throw a lot of cups of tea away Teabags have long since been disposed of as problem was several months ago so not able to provide receipt or take back to shop But it appeared to be that teabags were sealed too close to the edge if that s any help

I ve been buying typhoo teabags for years Recently I ve begun to get the odd split bag However my latest box has been a nightmare Every bag comes apart It seems they ve not been stuck together properly Its most unpleasant to get a mouthful of tea and the mess

Why has Typhoo discontinued QT Gutted Never thought this would be unable to buy My favourite cuppa and easy for me because of having the use of one arm Have tried everywhere to buy this product Shame on you Typhoo I certainly won t be purchasing any of your other other products

Just wanted to add my thoughts here Company states on the box they have cut the amounts of suppliers and consolidated processes to achieve maximum efficiency To my mind my favourite tea bag has become bland weak and tasteless to say the least and I totally agree that the tea bags are continually and habitually coming apart There is simply very little flavour in the tea now and as that is by far the most important component surely then the updating of practises has been self defeating How sad that the customer has been ridden rough shod over in order to turn a profit Tinme to test the other brands
