This is Device is awesome It is filled with information and it s initial tutorial is relatively easy to grasp Port forwarding is easy for those who have home servers The easy to use one click options for things such as Hulu and Netflix are a breeze I noticed the difference in my browsing immediately after everything was installed and configured At a little over 100 bucks and the 9 bucks per month for everything this device offers is a great bargain

Simple setup in no time

I got Winston as a recommendation from a friend When they told me they wouldn t be surprised if I change my internet plan I laughed and then laughed some more As of this writing they were correct I have officially downgraded my internet speed plan because my speed is significantly higher than before which basically allows me to pay for Winston and have some extra money left over Setup was very easy that my tech illiterate father could install it And best of all the ads I would see everywhere are nearly non existent anymore Overall I m extremely impressed and recommend it in my groups any chance I can get because it s just that amazing and more people should no about it

It does its job without hassles

I have had Winston since early November So far it seems to be doing what was promised without any negative issues so I guess that deserves 5 stars I have to go by the stats it is showing as far as blocking unwanted traffic There is clearly a lot it isn t letting through Also the mesh network seems to be working as web sites seem to think I m all over the place I haven t noticed a huge increase in speed but that is probably because my computer is slow and also I had another traffic filtering software product that was already blocking things so I was already experiencing some relief from the extra traffic I am using a fiber optic feed through an ONT Winston must be plugged into an Ethernet port on the WiFi router not between the ONT and the router Once it was connected setup went quickly I feel much better knowing it is going after tracking and other nasties based on multiple pre-defined configurations that I don t have to put together myself I ll leave that to the experts So far it just works which is all I can ask for

Purchased this as an alternative to APP Web application based VPN s those wouldn t work like I would want it to for the devices I have This is definitely worth it I would recommend it for folks who have self installed self monitored security systems
