This company hides behind clever small print Your yearly set rate of interest is heavily loaded to the start of your loan so they get a higher amount of interest at the start resulting in you losing out if you pay off your loan early Try speaking to someone and you get bounced from one person to another with the promise of a call back and nobody calls that s happened twice in the last 4 days to me not a good company to deal with

Great interest rate on first some loan
Great interest rate on first small loan but when the chips are down and I needed a large amount quickly to get though a bad spell I was charged half the amount borrowed in interest Only when you pay off the loan in full 22 months early they only reduce your interest by 60 taking nearly 800 extra As well as charging me 1040 setting up fee Licensed loan sharks

unable resolve closure of account following death
I invested the proceeds of my mother s house sale with Zopa in a 1 year fixed savings account acting as her attorney She died in September but Zopa are refusing to close the account early preventing the execution of her will I have spent hours waiting for resolution via chats that go dead when transferred to their specialist team The staff are sympathetic but still no resolution

Direct debit fiasco
So confusing Direct debit set up for 1st each month But Zopa took money week before in case anything goes wrong Went into unarranged overdraft Where is a point setting up a date if they take week earlier Froze card will pay it off and never use again

Applied for loan 3rd June
Applied for loan 3rd June was contacted 4th June for a chat on details From that point one week heard nothing 11th june I have good credit rating with no defaults When you contact them by email reply states office is empty so presume they work from home Have canceled application very disappointed to say the least Considering reviews are good Further update from them by email cancellation can t be done by email only by phone So have to phone them

Quick to start up and app is OK to use
Quick to start up and app is OK to use However if you have problems with a pin number don t bother calling Zopa as you have to rest your card over 24 hours and can only get a new pin through some cashpoint machines If your card wont work and you re in a petrol station trying to pay they won t help or authorise your card so you always need an alternative method of payment

could not be easier to setup
could not be easier to setup but when i tried to cancel my credit card it wouldn t make last payment finaly made my last payment and told that i would need to wait till tommorow and contact them again i will try to cancel card then if they refuse i will just remove details and report

Pros -Quick application-Fairly nice app layoutCons -Poor customer service when asking questions off script-New application failed due to proof of income being unable to be verified even after submitting proof of income no explanation given complaint ignored-Complaints take too long to get a response and require chasing-Interest on credit card is calculated strangely and balance increases throughout the month rather than just once at the end of the month

Experience on chat leaves you frustrated
Process and everything fine then the people on chat don t seem trained and you have to explain so many times 3 chats in the last 3 days and I have been left frustrated with no help and no answers The app refreshes a loan settlement quote says everyday at 4 pm then every time you look at it before the next 4 pm it still goes up by 3 each time This wasn t explained why it takes a long time for your most recent payment to be taken into account on your resettlement quote so why does it go up each time you look at before it should be refreshed again at 4 pm Just no answers Just deflated now knowing my quote is going up before my recent payment is taken off the balance Not happy
