AVOID GARDEN STREET – SHOCKING QUALITY
AVOID GARDEN STREET – SHOCKING QUALITY AND EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
If you’re considering buying a wooden bin store from Garden Street, save yourself the money and aggravation.
I purchased a four-bin wooden storage unit from Garden Street, and within just a few months, the whole thing has deteriorated to the point of falling apart.
The timber has warped, twisted and split throughout. The quality is absolutely appalling, and the product is clearly not fit for the outdoor use it’s supposedly designed for.
However, what’s even worse than the quality of the product is Garden Street’s attitude when you raise a complaint.
Rather than accepting any responsibility for supplying such a poor-quality product, they’ve decided to blame me because I fitted only one door catch per door instead of the two they supplied.
Yes, seriously. Apparently, the reason their timber has warped, split and twisted is because I didn’t fit EIGHT catches to a FOUR-door bin store!
Who in their right mind wants eight catches on a bin store just to put the rubbish out? And how exactly does fitting another door catch prevent timber from splitting, twisting and deteriorating throughout the structure?
It’s an utterly ridiculous excuse and, in my opinion, nothing more than an attempt to avoid taking responsibility for a defective product.
I fully appreciate that timber is a natural material and some movement is to be expected. But there is a world of difference between normal weathering and a supposedly outdoor-rated product practically falling apart within months.
Garden Street have demonstrated two things: the quality of the product I received is dreadful, and their after-sales customer service is even worse.
I wouldn’t purchase another product from this company, and I’d strongly advise anyone considering one of their wooden garden storage products to look elsewhere.
A complete waste of money, followed by an insulting response when I complained.
One star only because zero isn’t an option.
