Account Security Issue
Extremely Disappointed With How My Account Security Issue Was Handled
I have been a paying Space Hosting customer since April and had four dedicated servers with them. Unfortunately, after this experience, I am seriously questioning whether I can continue using this company.
I reported that my account information had been changed without my authorization and that I could no longer log in. For over a week, I have gone back and forth with support trying to recover it.
I provided everything they asked me for: photo ID, payment records, invoices, order numbers, server IPs, and even old conversations with Space Hosting showing my original account information. I was later told that asking me for some of those documents was a mistake on their end and that they couldn't use them to restore my access.
The response I continue receiving is essentially: log into the account or contact us from the email currently registered to it.
That's the problem. I can't access the account because the account information was changed without my permission.
Support has even told me in writing that profile information can only be changed from inside a logged-in account. I told them I did not make those changes, yet I still have not been provided with a workable account-recovery process.
I'm also extremely concerned about what personal and billing information may have been accessible inside my account while I didn't control it. I have asked for help addressing that concern as well.
I've now had to dispute payments with my card issuers while I continue trying to get this resolved.
I'm not posting this because of one bad support interaction. I'm posting it because after more than a week of repeatedly explaining an account security issue, I still cannot access my account and keep receiving essentially the same response.
I genuinely hope management steps in and resolves this. If they do, I will gladly update my review to reflect how it was handled. But as things stand right now, this has been an incredibly frustrating and concerning experience.
