99 9 filling out applications and being accepted onto projects that lead nowhere reading pointless emails long drawn-out instructions for simple tasks dealing with glitches and issues tasks and project not working as they should or not being available at all 0 1 doing actual paid work of any substance

The same thing happened to me Appen USA the hiring manager interviewed via Skype said they supply an iMacPro desktop and said that need to pay for the software the gets installed pay for the shipping and then customs wanted more money I never recieved the computer was told that it got damaged during shipping and they actually wanted me to pay for another I bitched a lot Never got resolved and never got my money back either I screenshot all text messages saved any email communications and the phone goes to a automated answering device and never called back

Complete waste of time Well because of non-disclosure purposes I cannot to provide too much detail However I applied to the site and then filled prompts to get chosen to work on several of their projects After weeks of logging in every day became rejected from most begginner-labeled jobs because of course no previous experience within the platform like guys c mon And those where I did get chosen for they actually were glitched prompts on the system where the details for work were provided automatically wrong The portal itself is a mess and they did not put any effort into improving it or giving me meaningful answers to these problems that basically arise because apparently paying programmers to fix it is not within their budget as a global internet-based freelancing site Stay away from these sharks

Forget about Appen Get a real job

Poor support Poor website Full of outdated projects that are not accepting anymore but their applications are still open So you can waste your time applying for qualifications 1-3h each and never hear back from them Pay rate is lower than ANY real job out there So if you need some money go get a real job or learn some skills and get a web design graphics remote job Appen has not even finished reviewing my packages after 6 months

They recruited too many people to get a project Survey done in time for a client as a result the work slots are too small to be done for each worker and the worker receive very small pay rate of money hardly able to withdraw No attention to the workers welfares Some projects admin didn t reply faster enough The appen china platform has bad admin who communicate in very rude way Never again

A waste of time Spent 4 hours on a project called Anthurium and used a high-end recording device for the task Fast forward 4 weeks some Indian call-center guy messages me today telling me my submissions were rejected and that I m not going to receive any payment LOL Should ve known better

You ll Never Hear From Appen

They don t assign work and support does not respond They will however continue to send you emails hyping their own company up and talking about how great it is to work on projects They ll also keep you up to date on incentives and bonuses for projects you ve joined and continue to not give work so you can t actually earn anything

No serious business

After spending hours and hours of free work to qualify for Project Wells I did some tasks next time I logged on all tasks were gone and has been ever since but still they keep sending mails with inactivity notice what is the point when there are no tasks Then they told me I was under evaluation weeks after I qualified it should take about 3 days Weeks passed until I got a new inactivity notice mail where I answered the ticket and asked why it was so important that I log in when they don t give me any tasks anyway But logged in and guess what no tasks Then I got a mail with a short notice that I had not been logged in at all since my account was created which is a straight out lie How can I be under evaluation if I didn t even log in to the account Nothing of what they say makes any sense Seems to me they do not even read the replies to their tickets although they call themselves a support team But fine I am a genuine person that wanted to do a decent job with them if they rather prefer the scammers and cheaters that buy and sell accounts and test answers all over Facebook it s on them Their loss
