Online courses were convenient and straightforward BUT after earning my career diploma for the course I completed I was unsuccessful in finding a job for my field of study Also there wasn t much help in finding a job either using school resources

My experience was fine until I had questions The tutors couldn t even figure out the books I had and weren t helpful in any way Maybe it was just a disconnect but a few phone calls and emails later and still no one knew where to even find the problems I had questions on

Coming into the field of pharmacy with no knowledge this school gave me the back ground basics on what I needed to know Very easy and straightforward However I did have to take my own extra steps to prepare me for the certification exam But this school did land me my first pharmacy job working at a Walgreens

I was happy with Ashworth online program The portal was easy to navigate the lessons were understandable along with the text books provided Unfortunately the text books were written specifically for the college so was unable to sell them or donate to a library I ve never had issues calling in and speaking to representatives A big plus is that I completed my degree without having any debt I was able to receive my last semester free with good grades on my previous semesters I have not searched for a job in that field since completing so not sure how acceptable their diploma is in the job market Neither have I furthered to see which collages accept their transcript for credits If the latter points were favorable then I would definitely further my education with them

Very affordable and a large variety of applicable degrees I ve acquired my Early Education and Marketing Degrees through Ashworth in a very timely and flexible amount of time However communication and student support could be A LOT better If you dont have a lot of initiative and really dig through EVERYTHING you wont realize you re missing books or materials and it took months to get one of my books

I am currently enrolled and so far so good I feel like my only complaint is how long it takes to close out a course to open another my professor already graded my last assignment but I guess it has to update in another system I don t know I just wish this process wasn t so slow so I could actually start my next class its quite frustrating hopefully the rest of my experience is good I will update when I ca actually get further along

I have been given the runaround in regards to my diploma I have had numerous tickets opened in my online portal with some not being answered I have been told by three deferent people of a differing graduation date I received a digital certificate by cannot get a straight answer about my physical diploma and I finished coursework almost two months agoP S I received my diploma today The process was still agitating with getting different answers but it did arrive

Ashworth is my first college degree despite me having over 160 college credits in various forms and tons of technical certificates Why Frankly there s been nothing in any of the many jobs I ve had over the years that required a college degree I m not new to six-figure salaries Did I benefit at least from some of the classes Absolutely But not enough to make it worth the time - and expense - of going through the full-blown nonsense Recently due to more free time I decided to check these off the bucket list starting with Associates Here s what you really need to know It is truly self-paced There is a time limit for progress sake but you can go as fast as you want and even slow down You re not required to submit daily weekly assignments nor are you dinged for not logging in However despite the above it s important you understand how they treat semesters In other schools a semester is a period of time - 8 weeks 12 weeks etc Ashworth s semester is really a batch of 5 classes gated by a payment 1k or 1300 usually for the degree programs This means that you can only really go as fast as 5 classes before you need to do another payment it s not like you can just do a single payment and knockout 20 classes like WGU Given the above this means you are best served transferring into this school rather than raw attendance if you want to save money They will take credits from just about everywhere However you will likely find yourself needing to appeal their initial transfer credit offer as they tend to try and cheat you out of credits I was only able to get 50 instead of the 75 despite having over 100 credits total for unknown reasons All of the book materials you need are located in the courses same material used at colleges and you can even rent physical books if you want it s a separate service However the tests tend to mark questions wrong when you know you answered it correctly This is because the quizzes are written straight from the book they are auto-scored by the way so if the book is wrong you will be dinged improperly for something you know to be correct Whether you complete or not the transcript process is extremely fast faster than any other school where they ll turn it around in a single business day Unfortunately the transcript tends to confuse some other schools because what they do is list transfer credits on the first page you see and then taken credits on a different page which throws people off They will offer frequent discounts as an incentive to get you off the monthly payment plan pay in full by X save 200- 300 Doing this plus transfer credit meant that my Associates degree was around 1800 all told That s cheaper than most community colleges that are around 3k and not nearly as fast Here s where you need to be careful though I see many reviews complaining about being billed 1k this is because of what you chose to save the most money The price they re quoting you on the site is PER SEMESTER 5 classes If you still have even one more class to take you ll have to pay for another full semester There is a refund policy but if you re transferring in you won t make the cutoff before transcripts come in Ashworth has matriculation agreements with schools such as WGU and Columbia Southern if you want to transfer out but most schools nowadays are more flexible about nationally accredited school credits so long as the courses match up and they will as long as you choose a similar program Ashworth doesn t offer equivalency to some of its programs for alumnus so for example the Associates in CIS doesn t have a Bachelors equivalent they don t offer an IT Bachelors at all that you can re-admit to in order to save on the headaches of transferring out The majority of work at Ashworth is with auto-scored quizzes There are occasionally essays or as with CIS the need to write a program and these are manually scored Some classes are downright DRY and others have instructors that take too long to score work The instructors are given 10 business days 14 calendar days max to score something and if it s the last class of the semester batch you can t open up the next semester which delays you Also I had an English Comp instructor straight up refuse to score a paper because quote there s no way you wrote this on your own the paper in question asked you to choose your topic from a list I chose a topic about explaining to someone how to build their first resume Not rocket science Appealed and it got scored But yet another delay improperly I m not saying they re bad they re not Just manage your expectations You get what you pay for Use them for transfer credits and checking boxes
