Such long waiting times makes it not

Such long waiting times makes it not worth it and if u leave the server then it only gives you 45 seconds to get back on which you probably won t make it which means you make to wait 70 minutes to open it again Also only allows 200MB of data on your server which sucks

It works ok

It works ok It does what it says but if you want to host here get ready for a LOT of lag and i mean a LOTTTTTT It also just shuts down on its own sometimes without me doing anything I d reccomend just spending a few bucks on a small paid server as the random shutdowns and total freezes are REALLY annyoing

Looooong waiting time to start server

Used to be a great server until it started to kill me with the waiting time 73 minutes Dude 73 min is not a joke You can do a whole lot of things during that waiting period And say if i some how miss the confirming period slightly I am again forced to wait another 73 min What nonsense is this Although it is free it does not mean that we need to wait for 73 minutes just to play in some nonsense server Would have given 5 stars only if they reduce the waiting time to 1-2 minutes

I really like the fact that it is free

I really like the fact that it is free but that it interrupts after 10 minutes afk I don t like how I don t like the fact that it stops randomly when and how it goes by telling me a problem to my server when in reality it is their problem I hate the fact that the site is constantly bugged tells me that I am using an adblocher but I am not using it it bothers me really annoys the fact that it is laggoso even when there are few people online sometimes it even doesn t load the chunks and thinks a bit it stopsvery bad hostong system really bad

Takes too long to start and lags

What makes Aternos good is that it is easy to use But it lags a lot and takes too long to start I was planning on playing with a friend and decided creating a server on Aternos really quick I had to wait so long for it to start that my friend had to go in the end And don t think about making a public server with Aternos Aternos doesn t keep the server up if no one is playing on it

Crappiest Support Team I have ever seen

Support team genuinely sucks The moderators are always edgy like they re high on something and can t seem to try to be genuinely patient to people with questions It s like a support team with an extra frick you for not knowing this on the side Although free hosting is great and this service lives up to its name I m giving it a 2 star because of its crapy support team I haven t been a target of this but I ve seen multiple people get edged down by the moderators of this service and it s really dumb Improve your support service and fire your dumb employees

The platform is notably accessible via a clean, web-based interface, eliminating the need for complex software installation or deep technical knowledge. A significant feature is the server's sleep system; to conserve resources, servers automatically stop after a period of inactivity but can be instantly restarted by the owner or any authorized user via the website or companion mobile app. This balance allows Aternos to offer a sustainable free service to millions of users.

Community and Support

The website extends beyond a mere control panel, hosting a robust support ecosystem. The support structure is vital for helping new users navigate server setup, troubleshooting, and advanced configuration, fostering a self-sufficient community.

Considerations and Limitations

As a free service, Aternos implements certain limitations to ensure fair resource distribution among its vast user base. These typically include queue times for starting servers during peak hours, caps on server RAM and player slots compared to paid alternatives, and the aforementioned automatic shutdown during inactivity. These constraints are clearly communicated and are a trade-off for the zero-cost hosting model. The platform is ideally suited for small to medium-sized private groups, casual play, and those learning server management.

In summary, Aternos.org successfully fulfills a unique niche in the gaming landscape. It provides a fully-featured, legitimate, and user-friendly pathway for anyone to host a Minecraft server, prioritizing accessibility and community. By handling the underlying infrastructure and technical complexities, it allows players to focus purely on the creative and social aspects of the game, making it an invaluable resource for the Minecraft community worldwide.
