JNOR is a new and growing venture into science
Among a dozen submission-invitations on July 20 2022 Ms Christina Williams from the Journal of Neuro and Oncology Research sent an email-invitation to submit an article I wrote about a Bipolar Disorder treatment She offered an OA-publishing fee of 99 I replied that the Bipolar article was published in January but I completed another article two days ago about treating Parkinson s with Ritalin She invited me to submit it and extended the 99 offer I was intrigued when I found JNOR was a new venture from India that started in September 2021 and had published only three articles The Editorial Board is a culturally diverse with Neuro-oriented Doctors Professors Research Directors and Therapeutic Clinicians from India Saudi Arabia Nepal Kosovo Italy the UK and the US The two Editors-In-Chief are from San Antonio and West Virginia USA Ms Williams responded quickly to my request for a link to a guide for the journal s References format She was patient while I pondered which journal to submit to On July 24th I told Ms Williams that decided to submit the paper to JNOR and I finished redoing the References section in the JNOR-required format I said a potential for new data came up so I was delaying submission until it arrived around August 16th She was patient with the delay Editor-In-Chief Dr Lucke-Wold sent an encouraging email on August 5th saying he read my papers and approved publication of my new article The new data arrived on August 23rd and I submitted the article to JNOR on August 25th Ms Williams said Peer-Review would take 3-4 weeks I didn t mention Dr Lucke-Wold s email I didn t mind waiting for Peer Review On September 19th Ms Williams informed me that Peer Review approved publication She sent a galley proof for my approval The galley proof s citation of my authorship was completely wrong It said I am the author of an article about multi-universe soul-traveling via astral projection I quickly pointed out the error Two hours later she sent a sincere apology and a new galley proof with an accurate citation I approved the new galley proof and approved publication Publication in JNOR is scheduled for September 24th The article JNOR and myself walked together through an email-invitation waiting for my decisions the Editor-In-Chief s encouragement a delay for new-data reformatting of the References article submission Peer Review JNOR publication-approval author and publisher interactive editing of the galley proof and my authorship s final approval to publish The Journal of Neuro and Oncology Research is still a new venture From September 2021 through April 2022 they published three articles In August 2022 they published one article and an editorial As of today September 22 2022 JNOR has published five items during their one year of operation JNOR started one year ago in September 2021 I ve been in my profession since 1975 including 21 years of independent research in Neurobiochemistry and Psychopharmacology since becoming a PhD in 2001 As a successful kid from the Old School I m delighted to be published in this new and growing journal of science JNOR A word of advice to the Editors Don t publish items like Universe and Multiverse Transportation Possibilities Using Consciousness and Thought Travelling Items on that kind of topic severely damage the credibility of your journal the articles you publish and the authors who wrote them If you stick to publishing science everyone wins I wish you the best Thank you for publishing my article on treating Parkinson s with Ritalin The article can benefit over 10 million haplessly ill and disabled people worldwide
