Austin Macauley have been very progessional and helpful throughout the publishing process Any queries have been answered quickly as they have been in contact with me through all stages My book has a publishing date of 3rd Feb 2023 so I ll reserve judgement on their marketing until then but if it s to the same quality as their publishing I ll be very happy Update The marketing team seem to be as good as the publishing team My book is being marketed in seven countries both in stores and online I have nothing but praise for this company

My first publication

My first publication Fly Away - A Sopwith Jones Adventure was a leap into the unknown How long would it take What was expected of me This intimidating journey was calmly and proffesionally handled by Austin Macauley s various departments The net result is a superbly finished book which can be placed alongside those of better known publishers Marketing is still in its infancy so time will tell on that score but I have suffcient confidence in AM to allow them to publish my second work A Poacher Kill

Clearly defined publishing path

Clear defined publishing path I was sent a flow chart of how the process works I have worked with several departments of Austin Macauley to create the final novel that has been great compared to self-publishing I have seen the final edition before it is published The marketing department are in the process of launching the my novel They have sent me additional ways I can enhance the marketing project Over all very happy publishing my novel with them

I wrote my book during Lockdown in 2020 My manuscripts were received at the publishers on 4th February 2022 The contract was signed and approved on 9th June 2022 My payment was made on 17th June 2022 The last proof reading was sent on 23rd September 2022 My book was now with the editors I waited Fourteen weeks until 4th January 2023 to let me know the book needed a few changes to acknowledgements It did seem to me to be a very long time waiting They did thank me several times for my patience which I had to be but never having written a book before I had no idea it would take so long I would just like to say that all the team have been extremely helpful to me I am now 76 this year and I am very happy and proud to say that on 15th September my book will be published at long last What a wonderful legacy to leave my five Grandchildren

My book is all about my recovery from a near-fatal brain aneurysm I am in recovery a very long and challenging process Austin Macauley have been incredibly respectful of my situation Knowing the difficulties I have with screen time and emails they changed their editorial approach enabling me to have one-to-one phone calls about the various proofs of the book thereby making the process accessible and stress-free The work they are now doing in respect of marketing is excellent Thank you

Commendation

I would like to commend Vinh Tran from Production at Austin MacAuley for his patience with me during the process of correcting the drafts No matter how many times the book draft was checked Vinh was always patient never got ruffled and allows allowed me to decide what was best for the book Thanks to Vinh and also Oliver prior to Vinh the book is finished and I am proud of the end result

I too am waiting for my book to be published Patience is a virtue You must read the contract before getting IMPATIENT I fortunately did manage to talk to a very competent young man Ethan Scurrah who advised me to read the contract which I didn t do at the beginning I am much more relaxed now and looking forward to the publishing of my book Thank you

God works in mysterious ways

Unfortunately the biggest hurdle was the time frame from submitting the manuscript until publishing I suppose Covid had to be qualified as an act of God causing the severe delay I was anxious for the day so I could intelligently answer questions quickly however I sustained a traumatic brain injury Jan 4 2023 after being stabbed in the head by a stranger
