Good service for the screen change BUT
Good service for the screen change but the upsold wipers are cheap and very noisy I had to replace them

Let down by Inadequate Communication
Firstly if i was merely rating the actual day the windscreen got replaced i would have rated much higher The only issue with that is the technician didn t have electrical connectors for the heated windscreen which i ended up supplying myself However the part before that was what i think needs to be improved It took 7 weeks from placing a claim to getting the windscreen replaced Part of this was due to my insurer stating there was a maximum limit on the policy but i provided my policy documents stating clearly it was unlimited By the time this was sorted around 3 weeks had elapsed The insurer was incorrect Then when the windscreen was ordered it was out of stock and went on back order It was in stock at the point i put the claim in However my key criticism would be through this 7 week period i had to do all the chasing Nobody was ringing or emailing with issues or progress Even when i rang there were no real updates That being the status of the claim with the insurer or expected date of windscreen available Therefore i didn t drive the vehicle through that whole period In fairness this was a specialist vehicle so stock availability cant be helped but communication is completely in your control

GOOD technician BADLY let
Very helpful technician but badly let down by his company systems that initially sent the wrong windscreen for my old car then we re unable to calibrate my new screen at home so had to drive twenty mins to depot to have it all done there only to be delayed by two hours because their system wouldn t recognise my car This is the second time I have had problems with them I don t give people a third chance so will ask my insurance company to get another company next time Technician great company bad

Long wait for good service
The time I had to wait for the job to be done was far too long and on the day before it was due it was delayed further because the screen was out of stock The two operatives who came were friendly and helpful and did the replacement efficiently and well

Depot didn t have any double sided tape
Depot didn t have any proper double sided tape to stick my DAshcam back on They did find something to use but the Dashcam fell off the next day Not sure how a professional windscreen replacement company does not keep or even stock a proprietary double sided tape for dashcams Fitter was very well mannered and courteous and I am happy with the actual windscreen replacement A coffee machine in the waiting area would have been nice as it s not a quick job

Frustrated from Sandy
The workmanship was excellent but the booking system was very poor Our appointment was not properly set up on your system which led to the time slot being taken by someone else at the last minute making me very angry as we were unable to make the new time arranged This then had to be rearranged to the following week

Poor compared to others
In the end my windscreen is replaced adequately so I guess that s why it s worth 3 stars Here s a summary of my experience and thoughts Friendly efficient technicians Pretty poorly organised Online site systems inadequate Very difficult to find telephone number to discuss and when you can it s head office only no ability to discuss with local depot who will actually be coming out completing your repair Multiple issues mistakes 1 online booking system failed to load was advised head office would contact to sort - didn t happen so I had to contact them after a week Approx 2-3 week waits for appts 2 Repair failed so booked replacement not technicians fault admittedly but they seemed unaware of damage history despite multiple photos and descriptions sent 3 Second appt was booked by technician but I was not advised AM PM Was almost impossible to find telephone no to discuss this to confirm when I did head office advised wrong time also advised local depot could change to suit me AM preferred PM had been booked and local depot would contact me if this was an issue - this didn t happen - the day before appt - local depot contacted me to confirm PM telephoned head office - unable to change due to late notice now Annoying 4 Online system advised 100 excess payable for replacement originally 125 but 25 discount as already paid 25 for failed repair Fine But despite paying securely online - my account was debited 125 Telephoned head office - refunded took a week but to wrong card account Annoying again Overall - pretty poor Having used other national companies previously and also fairly recently a local company who were excellent and super-fast organised - I would definitely use others ahead of Autowindscreeens again Local company may cost a little more as not claimable on insurance but they were so efficient and able to carry out work far sooner within a day or so compared to waiting weeks and all info organisation was immediate correct and easy Past experience of other national companies has been ok well organised with fairly long delays to wait for repairs replacements 1-3 weeks Autowindscreens sadly seem to be practising the worst of all worlds really Would likely avoid and not use in future despite not being terrible

Still have a problem were the electric
Still have a problem were the electric lead from the heated screen connects up with the small console above the rear view mirror Not quite fitting properly Did nt notice for a few days after fitting
