I ordered online and the branch at Ringmer phoned to advise me that they did not stock the timber I d ordered but they offered a suitable alternative which I could go and collect straight away So very good and helpful staff

Retirement

I have for many years dealt with AVS and on the whole we have had a good working relationship I have seen several managers come and go and various staff come and go some of whom have been very good My biggest problem has been to find the price of an item using your web site which has proved very frustrating at times I have now handed the business over to my son so thank you for you patients and services over the years

I was told my delivery was going to be

I was told my delivery was going to be completed on Mon 22nd which was not convenient with me I sent an email to ask if they could make it Tues 23rd I received a reply to say I will be contacted within 48hrs I did not receive an email but my delivery came on the Tuesday as requested So everything was ok in the end and delivery driver was polite and helpful

Generally I found the service to be good and the website useful for checking stock The only odd thing was I placed a click and collect order thinking that would be the speediest way of getting the goods When I got there I still had to get a printout of the order and get someone in the yard to pick the individual items Wasn t a major problem but I was using click and collect to ensure the stock was reserved which it obviously wasn t

I asked to be contacted prior to delivery with the date and was not I was however contacted to check what I had ordered as all my selection was green timber except for the arris rails which was a mistake by me This was duley changed to green so well done on this spot Some of the timbers were well bent but as I had ordered over sized timbers to allow flexibility on site the worse of the warp could be list Apart from the wrapped pieces overall quality was very good

Good delivery

We ordered decorative gravel from AVS wokingham had an email saying it would be delivered on Friday After calling we given an approximate delivery time Driver then called to say he was 10 minutes away he helped my husband take the delivery to our back garden Overall a good service

Quality of fencing very good

Quality of fencing very good would have been 5 stars but let down by delivery driver not knocking on door to let us know he dumped panels on my front lawn There are some light fingered people around Aylesbury that would have them away in a second in their white Van

Ordering process easy but ordered as a guest Order acknowledgement email received promptly No further communications received Unable to see status of order After a week emailed to see when delivery would be Told it would be Friday but when it hadn t arrived by mid afternoon phoned to get an update and told it would be Saturday morning Arrived Saturday morning delivery man very helpful

I originally ordered MOT type 1 for a Friday delivery due to unforeseen circumstances with a broken down vehicle which resulted in a delay in my delivery I was told it would arrive on Monday now instead I waited until late afternoon expecting to arrive and it didn t After a number of phone calls it was eventually delivered on Wednesday which meant I received my order 6 days after I expected it However in spite of the above I was offered a full refund and I must say the quality of the product was very good Honeslty some of the best MOT Type 1 I ve ever seen truly 10mm to dust no huge stones and boulders like I ve seen from other suppliers
