Box came open

Box came open some damage to sides of all books Maybe wrap books in something besides just having them in the box Also 1 of the 3 books I received is a completely different size it s going to look very odd on my shelf

Easy ordering but really slow processing

The book I was looking for was available and showed they had 10 copies It was easy to place the order and make my payment but it s hard to say about anything else as I havent received the book yet and it looks like it will be 2-3 weeks before they even dispatch it so only ime will tell But that seems pretty awful service for a stock item in this day and age so if it proves to be accurrate I can t give more that 2 stars

Website said delivery by Royal Mail in 2 working days Dispatch was not for over a week so website should have said that Dispatch was via Evri who were also slow and very poor in our area and very poor delivery left on doorstep no knock even though letterbox is large enough for a book package

Frustrating UI Paypal checkout never works

User interface for checkout is extremely frustrating to use I also don t know why every time I try to use PayPal checkout my back account ends up getting charged instead I m selecting use PayPal balance first - never works

Book for granddaughter arrived too late

Bought book for granddaughter coming over from Italy It didn t arrive until the day after they left to go back It took about 10 days to arrive No indication at time of purchase that the delivery would take so long Had I known I would have looked for alternatives Very disappointing especially as I have such high regard for bookshop in Oxford Since posting the above review I ve received a good response from Blackwell s Will keep book a Christmas present becomes a birthday present I want to support Blackwell s and will try them again for future e-purchases

You are premature in the speed which

You are premature in the speed which you seek feedback ie before item is even despatched In this case the item is showing having been at the delivery depot for over 24 hours with no indication of when delivery might take place Royal Mail Track and Trace 2nd Class have a record of delivering to us in 2 days All very poor

I ordered books from another large book

I ordered books from another large book chain on the same day as this order 29 Jan I got their books delivered by the postie and signed for two days later - 31 Jan Meanwhile I may get your order today 03 Feb - delivered by Evri instead of the post office It was implied that they would be delivering - Within the UK Standard Post Usually 2 4 business days after dispatch Plus - I got asked to rate my experience just after I d ordered - so what are you asking

Complacent Customer Service

I ordered a book on 21 January 2024 Evri sent me messages on 27 January to inform that it would be delivered that day This didn t happen I contacted Blackwells to inform them of this but they seemed content with Evri s delivery timescales and appeared to have taken no action The book was eventually delivered on 3 February 13 days and 10 working days after placing the order This contrasts with the 1 to 4 days that most other booksellers achieve

Very disappointing

I m sure that Blackwells works great for people in the UK - I don t know - but for me living outside of the UK it s not a great website to use I have dealt with international shipping where my packages took up to 2 months to arrive but with Blackwells it s been so long I forgot when I ordered the book and it still hasn t arrived When I contacted them I was told that they have been informed it sometimes takes months for the order to arrive when on the website it said it shouldn t take longer than 25 business days Why does it take so long to ship one book This isn t the first UK online store I ordered from and the packages never took more than a month to arrive

A small part of three pages of book have been torn apart

Have been waiting for 5 business days to receive two books for my kid which is acceptable however one of the books got a small part of three pages torn apart not sure why but feeling disappointed as it supposes a new book
