Blackwells is my go-to place for purchasing new books They consistently beat the prices of other sellers and although I live across the pond they arrive incredibly quickly and always in mint condition

Excellent service and communication when an order I had made was unable to be delivered through no fault of Blackwells I dealt with them via email and at all times I got prompt responses resulting in my parcel being delivered Would purchase again from Australia if the need arose

Always a great experience Blackwells is my go to place for buying UK books to ship to me in Canada The prices are so reasonable and the fact they don t charge extra for shipping duties is amazing Will continue shopping here

I just wanted to leave a general review about all of my transactions with Blackwell s I preorder a LOT of manga and Blackwell s are the only shop in the UK which actually gets them all out to me in good time They trounce the competition in this area Their catalogue is also incredible I have bought older series off there which I considered long out of print before But Blackwell s had them The single downside to them is dispatch and delivery can take a while it varies based on the book estimates are listed on every product page but delivery is free on every item so this is a very minor gripe

Customer service is fantastic they answer my questions quickly and assist with any issues i may have I love the free shipping to US and the prices are great Blackwell s is now my go-to for all bookish needs and especially preorders

I got an immediate response from customer service They were able to provide information on a prior order and a pending order Customer service representative Nada was especially helpful and informative I am very very satisfied with Blackwell s customer service I love the free shipping and how quickly the books are delivered

I placed a rather large order of books 40 Discworld novels and the prices were good for all of them One of the books received was very damaged and when I reached out they were quick to respond and offer a solution They shipped out a new copy and we re helpful throughout the entire order I will definitely order from them in the future

I ve used Blackwells over 20 times over the past few years and I m still using them They are often at Amazon s price point or only slightly more expensive occassionally cheaper It also often takes longer than Amazon Prime but unlike Prime you do not have to pay a subscription - delivery has been free so far As I m not in a rush this doesn t matter much to me The books are generally cleaner as well with a lack of dust or dirt on them Blackwells seems to take better care of the storage of their books compared to Amazon from whom I received a fair share of dusty and grime-coated books This is important to me especially with more expensive books The envelope packaging is generally very good with the shape itself protecting the books from scuffs during delivery the cardboard tapers to form edges and corners They switch to a heavy-duty box if you order many books I did have one delivery a very tall and wide book in the envelope packaging which was bursting out as it arrived - I think whoever packed it misaligned the seal but the book seemed not to sustain too much damage Lastly I feel better giving my money to Blackwells but I admit a sense of nostalgia in this - they were my university bookshop with whom I ve always had a great experience

I ordered a book but the spine was cracked Although everything else was perfect there s a page that was hanging by a thread When I discussed this matter to Blackwells their response was very quick They sent me a replacement copy afterwards Their service is excellent

I live in the US and have been ordering from Blackwell s for a few years especially since Book Depository closed Their prices are generally good and the fact that they do not charge for shipping makes Blackwell s ideal They pack well but the detachable strip of their boxes can come undone with books over four pounds which easily results in damaged books Still their customer service is quite decent All in all it s a great book seller I only wish that they had more non-English language books Whereas they have many German titles and even quite a few recent Russian ones they carry very few in Italian Spanish and even French Their French selection is shockingly small with tons of Gallimard titles missing no Pl iade as far as I can tell The disappearance of Book Depository left a huge vacuum it would be wonderful if Blackwell s stepped up to fill it
