DO NOT USE If I could give this company zero stars I would Absolute bunch of cowboys They quoted me 48 pounds for a lockout assuming it was a simple job with no drilling which it was - took the guy all of 30 seconds The locksmith was supposed to be here in 40 mins but took over two hours Then it turned out that contrary to their website which claims them to be a locally based business NOT a Call Centre National company nor a franchise like many others advertising in Google they are nothing of the sort The guy who turned up was an independent locksmith contracted by a company called Locksub who were nothing to do with the company I called He charged me 59 call out fee plus 79 labour plus VAT - a total of 141 for less than a minute s work Had I actually been quoted the correct price I would have called around first I called the office to complain They put the phone down on me and have put the phone down on me every one of the 17 times I have called since Absolute joke Cowboys pretending to be something they aren t and taking advantage of people who are in a fix

This company is a sham The website is entirely misrepresentative - so much so that I think it needs to be closed down immediately All content on their website is intentionally misleading from the pricing to the claims that they only have local technicians to their outright lies stating they are not a call centre I prebooked 5 days in advance an engineer appointment to fix a basic Yale lock There was no mention that the engineer who would turn up would be from an entirely different company - not local and with much more expensive prices than those quoted in the website 280 for a new Yale lock and 3 keys All efforts to discuss resolve my issues with the situation have resulted in them taking zero ownership responsibility for this situation - All they have said is that I need to speak to the 3rd party non-local and double the price that they booked without my knowledge that undertook the work Irresponsible cowboys who deserve to be shut down immediately

I phoned the company today and spoke with Chris one of the partners He assured me the lock change over would be 48 plus VAT as stated on their website He also assured me that one of the four partners will come out to do the job as they do not employ anyone else This is also confirmed on their website When Denny could be Danny as the accent was a little difficult to understand came he told me it would be 150 labour to replace the night latch I asked him to leave as I could not get in touch with Chris the partner to ascertain what was going on Denny then told me that there would be a 45 call out charge to which I told him there was no way I was paying him a penny He left and I will find a reputable company I suspect that the 5 star reviews may be fake as there website states that WE ARE 4 PARTNERS WHO ALL LIVE WORK IN THE LOCAL AREA KEEPING OUR WORK CUSTOMERS LOCAL I wonder why I and others have had sub contractors then In response to your reply I can assure you I am no racist however if you can make public your company address and registration number which I can t find anywhere on your website although i did find a vague Newquay postcode TR8 5SQ not quite Woodford Please provide this info and Trading Standards can decide how wonderful your company is

Called book a locallocksmith someone from Rainbow locksmiths turned did the job alright but way too expensive I was charged 853 92 They charge as much as they want

Quoted total of 50 call out charge and then 120 for a basic UPVC lock replacement This is well above average Subsequently then billed for 250 00 My wife was too tired to dispute the over charge having just been on a 16 hour night shift as a doctor for the NHS The service is appalling to take advantage and charge more than quoted even with VAT added the final bill was more than quoted for no given reason The lock option we were charged for is not the lock option we chose The monies owed will be claimed as this company unlawfully overcharged us We also emailed prior to review and have received no response to date The price agreed was 170 which was then changed to 170 VAT but the amount then charged to our card was 250 This is unlawful and will be claimed back via our credit card

Website is totally misleading a this company is not local to Basinstoke as claimed they are in fact rainbow locksimths from with an 020 number on their invoice b they don t take cards so we had to get cash or pay by bank transfer web site says they take cards c price for repairs started at 500 and some negociation ended up at 325 for not much work and changing a supposedly faulty yale and servicing the door mechanism which I suspect was just WD40 being applied and d the technician could not adjust the door alignment as he did not have the right tools e Web site says technician wears masks and gloves - not the guy who attended our house One star is only awarded because the door mechanism is now operating but I have little confidence it will stay that way AVOID

Very misleading website no breakdown of costs no mention of a call out fee I was charged 180 to have a door opened and the reason for this was because the guy needed to use a drill In total it cost me in excess of 300 to get the door opened and lock replaced When I questioned the guy about the cost he told me the website stated from 49 and that it was an emergency appointment which I never requested on the initial call and was never made aware of when I spoke to company on the phone My advice would be - DO NOT use this website

GROSSLY OVERCHARGED OPPORTUNISTThis company told me on the phone the charge would be 49 After the locksmith arrived he told me he was unable to pick the basic lock to my flat door inside the main building and would have to drill the old lock and fit a new one He quoted a fee of close to 400 which he then reduced to 360 incl vat 180 to drill the old lock out 65 labour charge 50 for the lock assuring me and asserting that this was the best quote I would find for a Sunday evening I went ahead with the job because of his assurances and because he was already there and I was tired and needed to get into my flat but I discovered the next morning I could have paid 89 plus VAT with another company I was grossly overcharged 360 for replacing a single lock and feel this is taking advantage of customers who are locked out and at a loose end

1 star is generous Company charged us 5 times the cost of a regular repair for a upvc door gear 510 They have ignored my request to email an Invoice so wil be contacting HMRC as it is illegal not to send a vat Invoice Due to the urgency of the situation of not being able to lock the front door I consider their charge to be extortion NEVER USE THIS COMPANY This companies website has an s on the end of locksmith The job was genuine and carried out 17 10 23 in the RG24 postcode area The company registration no is 14081706 Finchley road NW11 7TH Local Locksmith services Ltd Head office on website is Kemp House 152-160 city road EC1V 2NX What a very unprofessional response from you I am indicating that trustpilot is associating your company with book a locallocksmithS Their website has an S on the end but trustpilot ignores this Surely you understand what I am describing or do I need to explain in one syllable words

They are highy unprofessional and not fair in dealing with customers Had pre-booked an appointment to get two UPVC door locked changed Euro Cylinder for 99 pound as advertised but they subcontracted the job and when locksmith arrived this morning he said each lock will cost 90 cost of lock which can be bought for under 10 plus a call out charge of 49 When I tried to call the number I talked to book appointment with he didnt pick the call citing he was travelling but was able to send watsapp messages to me The locksmith was not told about the agreed rates and I had to pay 118 inc vat for only one lock changed to my disappointment This is highly unethical No replies to my messages I sent to him complaining about the situation Avoid at all cost Will be reporting to trading standards
