As advised in the reply i sent my invoice by email weeks ago and did not receive a response I was also reassured after calling on two separate occasions that I would be contacted by the manager after his return from a holiday trip but I was not contacted either Furthermore I discovered that this group of individuals has more than one website by different names for example lowcosting-locksmiths co ukis also the same group of people companyI was told this was just another website for the same company book a local locksmith which appears by a different name I am still waiting to be contacted in response to my complaint initiated on 17 Jan 2020

Been scammed by this company recently Like most people in these reviews myself and my husband got scammed by this company recently Heavily pregnant they took advantage and forced my husband to pay over 1k to put the door back together otherwise they were leaving us without a door It was only supposed to be a simple lock change costing around 200 Obviously if you re looking for a locksmith don t use this company Anyone that s been scammed by these guys like us please message me on 07833547569Together we can make a strong legal case and get this company chargedAlso- I have checked that the website for this company is 100 the one we booked through and I have a scribbled unitemised VAT receipt they gave us to force us to pay that I m happy to share Have sent an email through their complaints page and only offered 120 back on a 1 193 for a lock change which is laughable EDIT in their response to this review they gave a fake email to contact info book-a-locallocksmiths doesn t exist and I have all the proof I need to report to trading standards

CROOKS They are not a local company and will happily use contractors who will overcharge you on the day If you complain they will block your number directing your call to voice mail which is never answered I contacted the company via email at info book-a-locallocksmith and surprise surprise no answer Reported to Trading Standards Over charging above and beyond the quote and not dealing with customer complaints is a breach of the consumer act 2015 Hence they are crooks I am a genuine customer and the sure way of knowing that these guys will cheat you after you book is there was never a confirmation email or text to confirm appointment nor the estimated price I see also that this company challenges any negative reviews as false again a sure indication of a company that does not take any complaints seriously

No star givenNo star given Two indoor lock to install took two hours really and the subcontractor try to cut the corner by putting unmatching items in the door kitchen what a mistake by me to hire these guys Quotation was provided and as a customer i assumed VAT inclusive and they charged on top of it no chance in a million year to hire these company again

We waited for almost 3 hours in the freezing cold after being told someone would be with us within the hour we chased after this and they said they would be 20 mins and 24 hours later they still have not turned up or sent an apology We then then contacted Key-Tek who had us into the house in 15minutes We are based in Basingstoke

Beware if you go anywhere near this company cause you don t know if they ll send you an honest and decent tradesperson The supposed locksmith that turned up barely looked at the door before telling me I d need a new door When I told him the key wouldn t turn and it s the lock itself he hadn t asked me what was happening to the door he did unscrew the mechanism bending the rails as he did this then he first told me it would cost 400 when I questioned this he told me it was an old door and parts were not available when I suggested a replacement door gearbox was available for around 40 he packed his bits up and left it was as if he d been caught out I ve just purchased a replacement lock backset for 34

Rude unprofessional and threatening individual Like other reviews quoted 50 on phone and then advised 250 on arrival and threatened with bailiffs if I didn t pay I didn t pay and managed to find an alternative - AA locksmiths Hounslow who have been great I will report to trading standards and I m so glad I didn t hand my money to this individual

Searched locksmith for daughters first flat Spoke to office who advise that they can get locksmiths to a property in 30 mins Upon being stupidly convinced that this was the company to go with apt was booked for a couple of days time at 1pm Afternoon booked off and nobody showed Received messages saying delayed with other jobs Didn t expect delays to exceed 6 hours for a lunchtime booking Cancelled call as communication very poor and excuses unacceptable Job was simple lock change and the 30 min promise or time specific call obviously a stretch of the truth Rung alternative locksmith and he arrived on daughters doorstep within 30 mins Done a fantastic job

Scammed and Blocked Me I contacted this provider to unlock my door after leaving my keys inside Their initial response included a personalised note from Chris that seemed trustworthy but the experience was the opposite They sent a specialist who charged me 520 for a job that should have cost no more than 150 He claimed he couldn t open the lock a standard Yale lock so he had to break it and replace it Afterward I checked their website and discovered I was charged three times the advertised price 69 advertised vs 189 charged to break in Upon further research I found reviews on Trustpilot linking this specialist operating under their own Ltd company to similar scams targeting others i e forcing them to break the lock and change it while it could be simply unlocked It also appears that he has been reported to Trading Standards multiple times so it is beyond me how he still operatesNow the provider book-a-locallocksmith co uk blocked my phone number and refuse to answer calls or provide an invoice I ll be reporting this to Trading Standards to ensure no one else falls victim to this fraud
