The WORST experience untrustworthy unreliable loses registered mail and blackmailed me to remove my review
What a terrible experience with CAYA I wish I never ever signed up with CAYA After I wrote the below review CAYA published a reply to my review putting my personal information to the public If this is not blackmailing me to remove my review what is it After contacting TrustPilot CAYA s illegal review with my personal information was deleted CAYA published the same review with my personal information for the second time After another complaint to TrustPilot Caya s review was deleted for the second time CAYA for the third time republished the same review with the same blackmailing my personal information published to the web If you care one minute about your privacy do not ever ever ever sign up with CAYA We entered into an agreement with CAYA also known as GETCAYA com to digitize our paper mail on June 23 2022 For several long and painful months CAYA failed to fulfill their promise of digitizing our mail We have put tens of emails back and forth with CAYA s incapable support and they never understood or found out why our mail is not digitized To every complaint CAYA s answer was it is Deutsche Post s error Despite our continual receipt of paper mail and the monthly invoices from CAYA for their services our attempts to resolve the issue through numerous email exchanges Request ID 123526 147411 and many painful failed others were unsuccessful It wasn t until around November 2022 after enduring months of receiving invoices from CAYA while still receiving physical letters that we finally saw our letters being digitized We finally also got a credit note for the invoices received when no service was provided In January we were expecting an incredibly important registered mail letter with significant legal consequences However CAYA failed to digitize this letter to provide us with any notification or to send us a physical copy After an extensive investigation that cost us hundreds of euros in effort and time spent on this we received a copy of the letter from the sender which had been returned with a note indicating that our company does not exist at the given address The address on the envelope was 100 correct and clear Once again we found ourselves spending countless hours exchanging emails with CAYA who failed to comprehend the issue and failed to provide a solution They offered empty apologies and we hd to face the legal consequences of not reacting to the registered mail which we have not received The worst part of this is that the registered mail was returned to the sender with the mention does not exist at this address Throughout this frustrating ordeal we continued to pay for CAYA s less-than-satisfactory service For the past two months we have been engaged in a struggle with CAYA to terminate the contract However CAYA adamantly refuses to end the agreement and portrays themselves as faultless completely ignoring the valid reasons we have presented At this point we feel trapped We cannot terminate this inefficient contract with CAYA and we know that we cannot trust Caya to deliver very important registered mail Rarely have we encountered a service as unprofessional as CAYA It is a disgrace that we are forced to pay for this service because the legal expenses involved in pursuing a resolution are exorbitant and not worth it for a 25-euro monthly contract CAYA has proven itself to be untrustworthy We have suffered the loss of registered mail which was returned as if our company didn t even exist leaving us to face the legal consequences alone We strongly advise against using CAYA under any circumstances Do not ever sign up with CAYA They would blackmail you to remove your review by publishing your personal information and do not ever review a company on TrustPilot because they would allow the above to happen

More costs and hassle
Initially I decided to pay for Caya to not miss many important invoices to pay Most of the letters were not opened so I ended up with 150 Euros extra in fines due to late payments Because every time a letter arrives that is sealed I need to request the opening pay extra 4 euros or so and then find a way to get it from my old address So the whole purpose of why I got Caya just went down the drain I am paying monthly fees for Caya and it just causes me more work Already reached out to customer help over a month ago and the issue wasn t resolved Just in the waiting line for their customer support and no one is answering Great

Very disappointing
Don t really know where to start - you would think scanning mail and forwarding it to a physical address cannot be that difficult However Caya finds a way to make this process cumbersome inaccurate and costly Highly discourage using this service

Difficult to cancel
Cancellation policy is extremely confusing After 2 attempts to cancel my account I am still being charged the monthly fee The process of cancelling your account is made very complicated on purpose so people spend additional time being subscribed Stay away from them

Worst service ever
I recently tried this service and was thoroughly disappointed In my experience it s completely unnecessary and doesn t work as advertised The majority of important letters especially government-related correspondence are now sent through private bots or automated systems rendering this service essentially obsolete Not only is it overpriced for what it offers but it also doesn t live up to its promises The system failed to handle anything efficiently and when I tried to contact customer service I was met with rude unhelpful responses that made the whole experience even worse It s frustrating to deal with a company that s not only ineffective but also unprofessional in handling customer concerns I honestly can t see any reason to use this service and after trying it out I highly recommend avoiding it altogether There are far better and more reliable options out there that won t waste your time or money Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere

Not transparent when booking their
Not transparent when booking their services I tried to cancel the subscription as I no longer need their services and their notice of termination is 1 year This is mindblowing When contacting them they mention that I booked the yearly subscription and this is why I need to wait for an entire year Is this even real This is a ripoff and they are definitely not transparent when you book their service because this was not written anywhere otherwise I would have not booked it DO NOT USE their service plenty of other options

Awful UX stealth overcharging
I signed up for caya when moving countries What works document scanning is visible notification emails they setup the mail redirect on your behalf As a concept the service is a good idea especially given the draconian nature of German infrastructure accepts PIN redirects as well as Deutsch Post What doesn t work difficult to navigate around the portal - excessive clicks needed lack of intuition sneaky additional high costs added to deliveries that are not clearly shown on the site while they claim to offer English language on the dashboard all the other help support is still in German The worst is that despite me cancelling the subscription with more than a month notice Caya extended and increased my subscription I checked TWICE to ensure that it had been cancelled including following the help centre links to the cancellation section on the dashboard However it was still extended and charges applied to my card I checked the dashboard again and despite following the links to cancel the subscription this functionality was not available I suspect this has been a result of the interface update creating a bug The exact same situation happened with my partner since we took out subscriptions for the same period

Liked using it before policy changes
I really liked using Caya Especially how you could see who sent you mail in your inbox The system was quite sophisticated for its time especially for Germany somewhat famous for its conservative approach to digital solutions Each mail would get a sender title in your inbox and digitize their email addresses subject possible topic and contact details Additionally you could co-ordinate the Postal Service redirection directly within the Caya app Pretty dope Unfortunately they changed the post box address to Bavaria recently and it s important for my business address PO box to remain in Berlin The other gripe I have is that they were readily available on the hotline while onboarding me as a client one of the primary reasons I went with them Toward the end though the hotline wasn t offered anymore which left me feeling very shaky and I switched to Dropscan which offered personalized support on the phone I really appreciate though that they still keep my inbox online available with access to all my documents

solved - in the end
It is not always simple to understand every detail of the set-up Sadly there is no phone hotline and thus you usually have to wait til the next day for an answer This can add up to several days if you have to ask for more explanations along the way But in the end the support is responsive and useful
