Customer service is a disaster They offered me an apartment that was so dirty and smelly that you couldn t sleep in it I was immediately frightened and went to another hotel I ve been fighting for a long time to get my booking money back They refuse and don t care about me Absolute disaster in customer service

Avoid - scam

I booked an apartment in Paris for the Olympics with Checkmyguest as host on AirBnB Months after my booking was confirmed Checkmyguest asked AirBnB to cancel my booking claiming the flat had been double booked by mistake through another platform This appears to have been false as Checkmyguest then immediately proceeded to relist the flat on AirBnB for my dates with a 700 uplift on the price This has all the appearances of a scam I would avoid doing business with Checkmyguest as they cannot be trusted to honour bookings

SCAM THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE LEGALLY STOPPED

We rented an apartment in Paris and as soon as we arrived there was a suspect punch in the wall right next to the bathroom door they obviously put it on purpose for a reason to keep the deposit of 500 euros which you have to wire prior to arrival or they won t let you check in another awful surprise To continue there was a huge leak from the bathroom ceiling in the middle of the night and through the electrical cables we were in an absolute danger situation and since they don t answer past 11 30pm we had to stay in the place with water leaking and hoping for the best When they tried to relocate us the next morning the next apartment had the bedroom door broken and it said the wifi was unpaid so we couldn t login THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE STOPPED -I don t think the owners of the places are aware that their places are being completely abandoned of care Thankfully I got my money and the full deposit back I can only think that happened because I am french and could deal with them straightforwardly that added punch in the wall trick wasn t going to work on me Good luck everyone dealing with them

Checkmyguest is the absolute worst In collusion with Booking they stole 500 from me They requested a deposit for an apartment rental in Paris on November 4 2024 and today December 10 they still refuse to return it They are thieves Be cautious because they conspire to steal your money Do not hand over deposits it s better to rent anywhere else but not with them I m sharing my experience so this doesn t happen to you Additionally the apartment we rented in Paris didn t have internet They told us they wouldn t fix it even though we needed it to work while traveling They never resolved it What they promise is a lie it s deceptive advertising This should be reviewed and monitored by the appropriate authorities Furthermore we submitted all complaints online and we were answered by an AI that after completing the entire process told us that they no longer have the money So does Checkmyguest act as a front for apartment owners to steal from users Because they are now refusing to take responsibility for our money They are thieves Do not rent through this agency They refuse to return our money
