So rewarding

Once you are self motivated this course is really great You get all the education and help you need when you need it I had 2 very different tutors one each year but both brought a wealth of experience and the different styles of learning was really beneficial

Chrysalis Level 5 Psychotherapeutic Course

I commenced my counselling pluralistic journey in November 2020 with Chrysalis and have to say I have enjoyed it immensely I have been impressed with the way the course is laid out trusting the process My two tutors Rosaleen in first year and Mer year 2 and 3 have been very down to earth supportive and extremely knowledgeable I really enjoyed the classes and supportive peers study buddies The student support have always got back to me in a timely manner and have been really helpful with any of my queries I have loved my placement and have learnt so much from my supervisor other counsellors and of course my clients Although it has been a lot of hard work fitting it all in with a full time job and family the support and advice I have received collectively has been amazing I would definitely recommend Chrysalis to anyone who has a passion for counselling

Recently qualified

I very recently qualified as an Integrative Counsellor with Chrysalis During my time on the course I had to take a break defer to look after my mum They were incredibly supportive of this By the time I was ready to return I had relocated and had to change venues again very supportive The new group were just lovely as was the tutor I really enjoyed my course days The work can be tough but so worth it I loved my time on the chrysalis course I am still volunteering at my placement provider and in the process of setting up a private practice

A good solid course with excellent content and really good student support

I recently completed the level 5 professional diploma in psychotherapeutic counselling practice I had a double bereavement in the last 3 months but thanks to really excellent support from the student support team particularly Tania I was able to finish my course just a little late I found the course content to be excellent My tutor in my final year Alma was also very good and really diligent I found the new inclusion of online modules to be a poor substitute for in-class tutoring It made working in triads almost impossible My overall experience with Chrysalis has been positive I completed three years and may well go on to do a level 6 research qualification I am a confident hypnotherapist and a good counsellor I feel that I have the foundation in place for a new career and that all of my hard work has paid off

I have enjoyed the process of registration on the course as well as the administration I had to change from the Autumn to Spring course and found it a very smooth and easy process I am also enjoying the in person sessions thus far The cohort is very friendly and are all eager to learn My supervisor Cila is a great teacher and very knowledgeable about the subjects and about the course in general I have also found the Moodle page and it s resources useful and informative I think they layout and design could be improved somewhat to make it feel smoother when clicking on the windows and being on the page But the content I have found good so far I think it s a good course and I m enjoying the learning experience I see myself being a practising and efficient counselor by the end of this course and look forward to having made many contacts and friends along the way

The tutors are exceptional

For me personally I have had two tutors whilst studying with Chrysalis and both have been exceptional They have been kind supportive and very knowledgeable and they have made the whole experience easy The groups are small and so you get lots of attention and time to build skills whilst working under the eyes of professionals All of the support staff I have encountered have also been excellent and when ever I have had an issue I don t think it has taken more than 2 days to sort out

Very supportive

I am half way through the first year of a Level 5 Counselling and Psychotherapy Diploma From enrollment to beginning the course to now I have been supported all the way Glynis is our tutor and she has been fantastic explaining clearly when I need clarification The work is well set out and if I need support with it I know that there is help I am thoroughly enjoying the course so far Another 2 years to go

Leanne Wegg and the Student support team are awesome they supported me throughout my course and helped wherever they could to ensure I completed successfully my studies They are a very approachable knowledgeable and professional team always willing to offer support and advice to students As a student you will be supported by this team The course was delivered well my tutors were wonderful and the whole experience of studying with chrysalis was overall a great experience

Level 5 sex and gender diversity
