I booked an apartment with city wohnen in Hmaburg nordfriesl nder stra e 29 and stayed for 6 months The experience was initially really good until it came to leave the apartment so many hidden clauses refund of deposit depends totally on the mood of owner city wohnen does not help even if City wohnen representative take the damage report the Owner added costs unnecessarily and deducted from deposit amount The worst experience ever in germany I have used so many services here this one is the worst to say the least please read and ask in written all things before booking and be careful of deposit amount you give

Immediately when I moved into the apartment I realized that the apartment had extremely serious issues I immediately noticed a fairly large puddle of water in the room leaking from both the left and the right side of the heater Since this is the only heater in the living room bedroom it s a studio apartment and it only heats sometimes often only partially I am often left absolutely freezing in the apartment - and this is during the middle of the winter when the temperatures go even below 0 and in the height of a pandemic Despite me complaining for 10 days already the heater is still leaking left and right non-stop and I still continue to freeze in the apartment City-Wohnen just keeps telling me that the issues will be repaired as soon as possible and that they are taking care of it but this is what they have been telling me every day for 10 days already And in reality I have not even received so much as a phone call yet from the repairmen who they keep saying will come to the apartment It seems to me that City-Wohnen doesn t even care about endangering your health But this is not even the only problem with the apartment that I immediately discovered there are more and none of them have been repaired for already 10 days now The bathroom seems to have sewage problems so the entire bathroom reeks very very strongly every day of sewage I can barely get myself to briefly go into the bathroom when I need to use it and sometimes after just spending one minute in the bathroom I start coughing because I feel like I am being chocked I could not be more miserable in this apartment Also probably needless to mention the hygienic conditions of the apartment are also catastrophic with the most dirty shower I have ever seen and long hairs all around the apartment I keep writing about all these issues to City-Wohnen every day but every day for already 10 days now they just keep telling me it will be fixed as soon as possible They also refuse to immediately terminate the contract no matter how much I insist on it It seems to me that City-Wohnen and their landlord who City-Wohnen told me rents out several apartments with them care more about getting money from me than about endangering my health Hamburg is the most beautiful city in Germany but thanks to City-Wohnen my stay here has been nothing but extreme stress every moment of every day literally don t even have the time to do my job properly because I am just dealing with all the stress they cause me They have turned my experience in Hamburg into THE WORST NIGHTMARE OF MY LIFE

From the perspective of a landlord Citywohnen we found arrogant and condescending When they first started out 2005 all was good a small outfit and very willing but as they gained popularity so did they gain in arrogance I have a super located flat with no problem renting out pet friendly 75 sqm 2 min to the main station 1 minute to the lake Don t need them but thought to give them a review
