Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio is AMAZING Dr Patrick Vargo is my dads Cardiothorasic Surgeon At our first appointment to Cleveland Clinic June 2022 my dad had about 8 different appointments throughout the day It s awesome that they can coordinate all appointments on one day for out of town patients Dr Vargo saved my dads life not once but twice He is very young very experienced and down to earth He explains everything in simple easy to understand language and beautiful drawings He first did the TEVAR procedure on my dad in July for a descending Type B Aortic Dissection Then we went back for my dads 3 month checkup and we were in the process of going to all his appointments when Dr Vargo s NP called my dad on his cell phone and told him he needed to go immediately to the ICU upon review of his new CT and Echo they discovered he had a Aortic Type A Ascending Aortic Dissection which required immediate surgery We just went back in January 2023 for my dads 3 month check up Dad had done his CT with contrast and we were to meet with the NP She had called in sick so we were told they would call next week for a phone follow up I told the front desk gals that dad really needed to be seen They called Susan Dr Vargos nurse coordinator and she asked Dr Vargo if he would see us and he made the time to check my dad out My dad goes back for surgery in March 2023 I cannot say enough good things about Dr Vargo and his entire staff They are absolutely amazing

Failing on all levels

Received a invoice today September 2024 for a procedure in December of 2022 I have no chance to file this with my Section 125 nor was I notified throughout the past 21 months by the Clinic This appointment was the result of an internal medicine physician s 8 specialist referral for a sinus infection The specialist Physician apologized that I was a victim of Cleveland Clinic Politics - 8 referrals Unless you have a serious diagnosis avoid the politics and money grab This is far from word class care Moving to UH and AJU Medical Center

They say there s no cure for emphysema

They say there s no cure for emphysema Just because they don t have it doesn t mean that nobody have

The doctors may be great

The doctors may be great But the level of office staff and the reception for whatever you need done is Zero No customer service You make an a but wait 2 hours for a procedure that takes 1 hour to prepare forAnd nobody has an answer for you Horrible and very upsetting

Unprofessional

I went in to get procedure done by Dr Baez He ordered four test which where done right away After two weeks the Dr still hadn t read the test I had contacted his office on numerous occasions Final after two weeks they informed me that was changing practices and wouldn t read my test and I would have to pick a different doctor and start all over To get appointment and test had taken two months I blame Dr Baez for not being up front or professional and Also Cleveland Clinic Thank goodness I didn t need open heart surgery

Trying to get care at Cleveland Clinic is an awful experience as a patient Trying to get an appointment with the first available cardiologist for chest pain took 5 months Apparently we should just wait to have a heart attack and go to the ER The doctors are absolutely awful about following up on test results I waited for 4 days after my ECHO and the doctor would still not respond to my my chart messages to let me know the interpretation of results and whether it was safe to scuba dive I could not get in touch with anyone at the office to get any answer either To make matters worse I wait on hold 10-20 minutes just to speak with an operator when calling the clinic before being transferred to the correct area to then wait on hold again The calling system is the worst I ve ever encountered in healthcare Nobody is there to help the patient anymore It s just seeing as many patients as possible to collect as much money as possible for the hospital without any quality for patients This system is the worst

I had a virtual appointment today with a neurologist and I did all the check in procedures I was ready to open zoom right on time and nothing happened I called the office and the lady that answered said that in their system I didn t fill out the questionnaire for the check in I asked if the doctor can talk to me she said no because I am a new patient I waisted my time and the doctor didn t even bother to call and this person that answered the phone only said sorry we can t take care of you today Absolutely disappointing
