We recently purchased a 2019 Chevy Blazer from craigslist San Fran The entire experience was pretty straightforward and the deal went through over email and we paid cash upon picking up the vehicle You do have to be careful on craigslist but if you are sensible and comb through the adverts carefully you can pick up a great deal The downside to the website is that it only allows you to search within one at a time we ended up using allcraigslistsearch com to search multiple cities in order to find the perfect vehicle for us This is the 3rd vehiclethat we have purchased from CL over the years so we would highly recommend the experience to anyone looking to purchase a car

I have sold countless bicycles sporting goods and household items over the years There are genuine buyers out there but they are all local of course if out of state - I would act with caution In order to search statewide you will need to use a site like allcraigslistsearch com because craigslist don t allow it If you get that 2 messages in a row - 30 minutes apart text messages where someone wants to know if your Art item is still for sale and what You low last price on it yeah them s are scumbag scammers -but Craig s List is not at fault here is just a fact of life that Scumbags are people Too with smartphones

Craigslist is a great place to buy and sell just pay attention to scamming

I have bought and sold some wonderful items through Craigslist It all is what you put into it and stay cautious I just ignore the scammers reject the text If you receive a generic text wondering if your item still for sale not specifying what it is and in addition you can see the phone number If it is from far away 99 9 it will be a scam I have had people drive from several hours away if they really wanted to purchase something I was selling I believe people put there phone numbers in written out so computers cannot randomly screen and send text messages I did have a friend who was scammed so anyone who says they can t make it but will send a check and someone else to pick up the item I recommend not doing it She received a bank check then she was asked to send part of it back because they needed to pay someone else or something strange So her refund she sent back to them got cashed and was gone forever but her check from them bounced and she was out over 1 000 So stay cautious be smart and try to meet in a public location if possible I will continue to buy and sell on Craigslist for I have found many unique items and great bargains

I have been using Craigslist for a while Although now I don t use it much it was great when I lived in the states I got jobs that paid off the books on there and also because I was rather broke at the time whenever I needed some household item I found second hand or even free sometimes on there Obviously I know there s scams on there but common people you can t blame Craigslist Life is full of scammers You just need to learn to spot them It s a gamble in a way to contact people and know how much time and energy to invest in pursuing things but mostly its worked out for me I think it really depends on what you re using it for and why

My review is only on the selling of cars I have sold many vehicles onthis site with success Ebay cars com car gurus were a waste of time Yes their are a lot of scammers and con artists here how ever if youweed them out you will have success Its free so you have to put up with the bad as well as the good My results have been 100 percent sells Do not use email or relay use your phone number deal in person cashonly if its a cashiers check clear it before giving car All my deals have been in the same state never shipped a car never out of state unless they flew in to pick up car which i did once Give them a chance you willbe happy with result Anything wrong with vehicle fix it or tell BUYER

It is organized and does warn you against scammers but there are still a lot of scams on there that are tricky I don t know if it is something that craigslist can do something about but I can t necessarily trust what I find on there
