Trip of a lifetime that I ll never forget
Wilson and the team at Ewangan Safaris are absolutely wonderful As a Maasai-led organization we received insight and hospitality into the culture animals and land that can only be provided by the people who have shepherded that same land for countless generations They went above and beyond during our week long safari and cultural experience through Tanzania It s hard to rank my favorite part but I will never forget the water buffalos and hippo grazing outside our glamping tent in the Serengeti or the leopard and her cub playing in the tree above our jeep or the cheetahs close enough to pet or the black rhino in Ngorongoro or dancing with the Maasai warriors at the Eco Boma or meeting the students of REDO the secondary school supported by this organization or laughing and singing with our guides I literally don t have enough words to describe just how wonderful it was and what all we experienced you ll just have to see for yourself One last note Bad tourism is when your money exchanges hands on foreign land but doesn t remain in the country Responsible tourism is when your dollar not only remains in the local economy but supports indigenous initiatives This organization is Maasai-led actively supports local education and are some of the most wonderful people you ll ever meet on earth We met as strangers and left as friends - thank you to all for the trip of a lifetime
