Shocking first use of the food village

Shocking first use of the food village app App hung mid order and i went in to order again a double order had gone through Cancelled immediately within 10 seconds and only received a half-refund This is shoddy but not illegal I guess as it is contained within their terms and conditions What is illegal however is that i turned off auto top up explicitly because i wanted to control spend within the app However they took a topup Customer service said that this is because we never want a child to go hungry Yeah right No auto topup means no auto topup It was an unauthorised charge to my account They re not being very forthcoming with the refund either I just want my money back to close my account Never again Ps report going to the financial ombudsman regarding intentional unauthorised bank account debits

The ordering experience

The ordering experience delivery and packaging was very good unfortunately that s where the good bit ended The quality of all the dishes was poor they tasted odd were stodgy and overall not of a standard I would expect Seven of us tasted the dishes and none of us liked them I will not be ordering again I m sorry I don t like to leave bad reviews but I have to be honest

Tag not working

Food not delivered School is in remote area and there is no shop around or even vending machines So if any error with your kid tag they are left for 7-8 h without food Can t understand how it shows on my app that I have been charged but they do not have that info on their side

Love Food Village

Really enjoy having food village in our school Our lunch lady is lovely and she always has a smile for everybody My favourites are the caeser salad wrap and a beef and rice burito And the cookies are amazing

The food parcel I received was

The food parcel I received was delivered at the allotted time by a friendly polite driver The package was beautifully done and all my food items were secure inside so no spillages anywhere All items of food were delicious the portions were plentiful and the heating instructions clear and precise A great food experience and a company I will definitely use again

Excellent

We ordered the large paella spicy wings carbonara and wedges which were all excellent We also ordered the cheesecake and red velvet cake and they were superb Great portion sizes good value defo order again Highly recommended
